  1. I hand cut the rounds on the band. I did it very carefully...
  2. Nice work! Do you do the sewing by hand? or machine? The sewing is superb!
  3. Yes I did the dye by using a daub. I see the seperation with the bands, I think I am gonna stitch a square around the one rivet to hold it down. Here is a pic on my wrist.
  4. Hello Gang, I made this watch band cuff. Since I am into guns. I made a ammo theme band. This is my first watch band cuff I made. Let me know what you think, and How I can do better. Thanks Chad
  5. looking good. You should smooth out those jagged edges on the ring part. Use a dremel tool to smooth it out. I would hate to get poked or scratched from it.
  6. nice sheath! I plan on making one soon. How did you get the edges so smooth? Please do tell.
  7. i like it alot. i went to the website. I see how you did it. Wouldn't it be easier to make the piece big enough to cover the entire piece so you would have a smoother transition, know what I mean? Instead of gluing on the skull, you would glue all the way to the stitching, therefore having it look smooth all the way across.
  8. cool. I like the key chain. The knife sheath, looks like it has stitches across that top. Is that what it is?
  9. I tried that already, but it kept breaking. So I will look for a tassel of some kind. Thanks
  10. Thanks for the info. How well does the glue hold? I plan on stitching so it makes it stronger. I have a watch that I want to do a leather cuff with. This will be my first try on a leather watch cuff. I will post pictures later on. Thanks again Chad
  11. I created this bookmark for my son. He is starting to like some steampunk stuff. Now I do have a question regarding tassels. Do they sell them? if so, where can I get them. I perfer it be leather tassel of some sort. first pic- lines transferred second pic- lines carved third pic- dyed using java brown and coal black along with jewel rivets. sealed with satin sheen finish. Thanks Chad
  12. nice. what size leather did you use for the part on the watch. Did it have to be a specific kind of watch or can it be any watch? The cuff part I can figure out.
  13. looks great! nice clean lines and stitches. How did you achieve your finished edge?
  14. whoa! what a big gun...hahaha Nice holster. I need to find me a big revolver.
  15. Those belt clips I have seen different kinds at Tandy's. I used those on my holster, works pretty good.
  16. I know. I kept going at it and at it....but it was worth it after finishing it. It really looks nice. Thanks
  17. sorry i don't have a picture yet. Its the tool you use to transfer a design onto the leather. When you carve the lines, sometimes I miss the lines that I trace, so the lines show up from the tool. I'll try to get a picture.
  18. Hello Gang, I used a burnisher tranfering a design. How do I remove the burnished lines before cutting it for the new lines burnished. Is there a trick or something to remove the lines? Thanks Chad
  19. I heard airbrushing the dye onto the leather will give you a uniform consistent spread. Of course you would need an airbrush, compressor for that to work. I have those since I used to airbrush back in the days. I think I just found an excuse to get back to airbrushing.... Hopefully someone here has used an airbrush and can pipe in if it works well with dyes.
