  1. If you decide to drill them yourself, be sure to keep the drill bit square and plumb in relation to the ram or your impressions will be "deeper" on one of the sides. The hole in the bottom of the ram is for fitting the stamp handle in. The hole in the side of the ram will need to be tapped to accept the set screw that will hold the handle in position. Good luck, Bro Tim
  2. This is the product of the "Belt clip info request" post I made a few days ago. Thanks everyone for the input as I've never done a IWB before. Hope someone likes it. Bro Tim The Pistol Packin Preacher
  3. WoW, I had never heard of them before but, they have a lot of great stuff. Thanks for the insight. I ended up purchasing some from Springfield with a regular order i had to make anyway. Thanks everyone for their help and suggestions to set me on track. I'll post holster pics later. Bro. Timothy
  4. If you could find a used/surplus pneumatic cylinder you could run it with your air compressor. Maybe burdens surplus center, www.surpluscenter.com Bro Tim
  5. ChiefJason, Thanks for the suggestion, i'll take a look. Bro Tim
  6. Thanks Dwight for the suggestion. I've never put any belt clips on anything. My only experience was unsatisfying with commercially made production holsters, they seem to spring open. Thanks again. Bro Tim
  7. Hi All, I'm in the design phase of a IWB holster for a fellow that wants a belt clip and not loops. I mean he is completely opposed to loops to the point he'll find someone else to do it if I don't so, the question is, whats the best type/brand/size to be finding for a holster to be used for a med. sized auto for a hefty size guy? Somewhere other than springfield leather? ideas or guidance? Thanks, Bro Tim
  8. I know what you mean about the site issues today. I've been have error messages saying something about SQL errors and server something or other. Wasn't even able to log on for awhile. Now to the meat of the matter, NICE job on the IWB holster. I've been trying to research the design process today but, need/want to use a belt clip. Bro Tim

  11. Hello all, I've been searching for information on a juki machine I have found locally. Its a DU 141. It looks nice and clean but that could be decieving. Could someone inform me of the specs of use, and trouble spots to look for in this type of used machine. What are its limits and capabilities? I've looked but, have not been able to find anything. Thanks, Bro Tim

  16. Afternoon all, Having not constructed many holsters I have a question about designing my patterns to account for the addition of a lining material. What type of additional, if any, seam allowance should I include in my patterns? In example, if I was to choose a 6/7 oz side, say HO veg tan, and a another side of veg tan thats in the 2 1/2-3 oz range, how would I compensate? Also looking to mold to the firearm as well. How would the pattern need to be changed, if any, if different weights of leather were chosen? thanks, Bro Tim
  17. WOW!!! Red stitching really turns the heat up for me. great job. Bro Tim
  18. Hmmm... I like that idea too as it may absorb vibration from being struck as well. Good idea! Bro Tim
  19. Well I hadnt thought of drilling out a portion of dowel either. It could alway be set with a drop of silicone or epoxy. Bro Tim
