  1. That thing is crazy!
  2. I like the fox even better. So cool.
  3. Nice, you guys! Love the different goat and calf you guys used.
  4. Oh good, I'm doubtful I'll get it finished by the 25th.
  5. Those are very cool. Love them.
  6. That's a terrible way to start the new year! I hope you feel better soon.
  7. I was thinking the overlapping part might be a bit overwide. I might trim it down so that they overlap only for one stitch or something. I haven't actually gotten further than thinking that about it.
  8. Interesting question. The criteria for "made by you" can also be "repurposed by you", I think. After all, that interior wouldn't be a wallet if you didn't finish it. If I ever ran into a market for wallets (and I haven't found one yet unless it has a fox on it), and needed lots of them, I would definitely buy, but I would probably note it in the info about the wallet.
  9. Nice! Seems like you're already there!
  10. Love that Bible cover. Super nice.
  11. I've got it all cut out, but I'm still in the decision-making and oh-no-it's-too-thick phase.
  12. Great job! Yeah.... the utility knife thing is a hard lesson. It visited me a few months back. Now I line everything up, start to cut, stop cutting and check to see my fingers are all out of the way, then finish the cut.
  13. Gorgeous work. The weaving pattern on the red one is my favorite. So nice. Are these all made with the basketweave tool, or is it a different kind of tool?
  14. Nice, I especially like the octopus wallet. Fun!
  15. I love these! I especially like the dark brown girl one in the gallery. Yeah, this one: http://leathermonsters.com/shop-1/grimble-the-fuzzard and this rabbit-lady-thing: http://leathermonsters.com/shop-1/chauncy
  16. Sweet! My kids are trying to get me to make cartridge belts for them.
  17. Thanks, guys. I didn't mind the color so much, but the resolened skin is a little weird. Shiny. I like it a lot better like Troy said, undyed and with Aussie conditioner. Unfortunately, that hide was so horrible I basically had to dye it. I ended up buying 2-3 oz. veg tanned. Hopefully it's not way too thick.
  18. Yeah, the piece I got back in July was only 50% usable, as well. I think I can squeeze some small things in between the holes and bad spots, but I would have preferred more usable space. But Springfield is cool because they at least tell you what it really is. Here's my rather disastrous dye attempt - mahogany on the outside, scarlet on the inside. Same dye!
  19. Man, those are sweet. I wish I could afford to get one for my husband. It seems like you have a market ready and waiting for you. You know those guys, they know how good your work is, if you could use the leather they trade you to make some bags that actually look like old military gear with patches to go with the jackets, you've got it made. Hey, if you're going to spend 1600 on a jacket, you might just want a matching bag to go with it.
