No. After checking some you tube videos, I saw this type of antique dye (not the paste) used as a color/antique at the same time. Should I seal the original dye THEN antique? -

My brother came to visit, and saw some sheaths I was working on for myself. He asked me to make him one, so I did. Here is the end product. It comes apart for different types of wear. I think he will be pleased. -

I loved this project so much! I totally destroyed the original idea (a wallet) so I salvaged my tooled piece and had it laying around. I was wondering how the hell am I going to use this thing? So i decided on a bank deposit type bag. My first bag of any kind! I lined the inside with pig skin, and the outside is burgundy calf skin. It is heavy, and smells like wonderful leather! I love it. Now to get some cash to fill it up with. -

Here is the inside. My wife had an old dress in the closet with this material that she no longer wears, so I begged her to cut it up. Found the perfect place for it. -

Better look at the tooling. I started out with British Tan, tried to used fiebings tan antique dye, and it just darkened the whole thing. So I evened it out as much as I could and moved on. Better luck on my next project! And I will get some different antique! -

My oldest is going off to school, and he asked for a wallet. So I made him an unconventional one. It is backwards, not perfect, will always be watching him, but most importantly, no matter where his travels take him, reminds him that he will always have a home where he is loved no matter what! -
