  1. Here's a wallet I did for someone with many creditcards. Just a simple interior with slots made up out of two layers of goat with fabric pockets sewn to the inside that keeps the cards in position. Eagles are in acrylic paint that has been diluted alot and painted in many layers to make it sink into the leather. Thanks for looking and critics welcome!! Tom
  2. Thank you very much all, sorry for late reply. Things have been hectic lately with holidays and all. Tom
  3. Good luck with it, it may take a few tries before you get the hang of it- I use brushes for small details like lettering etc. Cotton balls in a cloth when I cover areas. Tom
  4. You dont necessarily need to fit it with stiffer padding but you should compress the soft padding when covering it with veg.tan leather reason beeing that you will get very stiff sides that doesn't compress well when you sit down wich will cause the center of stool to "scallope" and also I suspect that the veg.tan sides will not look all that good after some years use. Another thing is that if you sit and drum for long periods of time the rigid sides might dig into the backside of your thighs especially for heavy metal drummers that doublestomp their bassdrums for long times. That is my instinctive feeling anyways as an old drummer. Maybe others will disagree. When I lace a round object I like to mark up all the lacing holes on the top piece with the stitching wheel, punch all holes and for the sides I just scribe a line where I want the row of lacing holes and then use the awl to mark up the lacing hole on sidepiece and make the holes about 4-10 at a time, lace/braid a few and continue wit 4-10 holes,lace...and so forth. Has given me great results and even spacing. Good luk with it and hope you get it done! Tom
  5. Yup it is a reducer. I also wet the leather a bit before dying to help the dye to spread out more evenly. It is hard to get it even so the answer to yor question is yes and that is why I started thin it out because with an undiluted red that has to apply in more layers to even it out made a too dark red. Tom
  6. GMA Rex "Gauntlet" bracer White covacolor done with washes on black and eco-flo black antique on top. Tom
  7. Thank you very much Tat2!!! I have read your mail and will reply when I can! Thank you Shirley, straps are fun! Thanks Odin!!! I used Fiebings leather balm for top coat on both theese and fiebings Aussie wax underneath. I allways dilute the red with denatured alcohol. Best regards! Tom

  11. Mycket trevlig bild på din verkstad Knut!! God jul !!! Tom
  12. Thank you very much all!! Glad you like the straps :-) I use Fiebings pro oil dyes and the one with special connection is red dye with Eco-flo black antique on top of it to make a burst effect towards the edges on the thinner strap. Dunno the weight but it is about 3,5 mm in thickness. Tom
  13. Nighthawk: A solution that I find pleasing to the eye but a bit slow to adjust! Tom
  14. Thanks very much guys!!! Tom
  15. This is 2 guitarstraps that I made for a couple of friends. The red and black one is for the band Loch Vostok front man Ted. Totally free hands apart from V logo and black and red. We think alike in many things so I had a great feeling for what he wanted and is now happily touring with the strap across Europe The black and blue one is more a personal thing for Ronnie Ripper featuring a carving from a cartoon style drawing of him that he provided, other than that I had free hands. Split in the back was required and the connecting strap width is matched exaxtly to his wireless transmitter. I saw Ronnie play live with it last saturday, dude was glowing in the dark ;-) Critics welcome!! Tom
