  13. Hi and welcome to the board!!! Good looking seat and nice toolng!!! I like the clean lacingjob but it'd be a good idea to learn the mexican roundbraid (if you don't allredy know it??) It takes lots f time but looks awsome. It can be ssimplified by skipping the step where the lace goes under/over wich reduces production time and give it another cool structure. Tom
  14. I have used cova white on fiebings pr oil black and also had probs with lift when buffing but never flaking off. I dilute the cova very much and paint it in many layers. This was from the beginning because I wanted it to sin into the leather to preserve the good leather texture but also because I was worried about craking and flaking off with time and age, bracers get bent when you take them on and off so I figuredit waqs the best way to go BUT have admit...it takes so much time to get the paint that i almost cry when I hear customers mention black and white. Tom
  15. I got some fine results when I used ecoflo black antique on the fleshside. I only used a sponge and smeared it on in one direction, think like combing the fibres down to visualize. Then I put on some leathersheen to bind it further and keep it from rubbing off. Tom
  16. Very cool!! The inlays enhances the nice shape on the seat. A tooled design takes away the attention from the actaul seat design sometimes so definetly a thumbd up for bautiful leatherdesign. Edges are black....very nice!! xcellent job!! Tom
  17. That is an excellent looking briefcase, nice swiveling and impressive (!) tooling!!!! I have one minor concern and that is the silver spots/rivets where the handles are attached to the bag. Are they really necssary?? I'd like to remove or streamline them better into the design as of now they drag things down a bit BECAUSE this clearly is the work of a true craftsman and they look a bit like they were thrown in just because. The KISS rule (keep it stupid simple) tells me you'd been far better off without them or having a more discreete spot/rivet. Hmmm I also use some photography rules when looking upon things. Another solution could be to have silver conchos or other beautiful details to balance things incorporated to the whole designconcept wich is working a bit away from the kiss rule and make it awsome kinda blinged look to it. Just my .50 cents. The work is absolutely great and I envy those floral skills!!! Don't wait two years for next post, I love the bag!!! Tom
