  1. Hi and Welcome Janne!! Very good looking shoes and boots, very professional!!!! This board is very friendly and has great atmosphere and everyone is very helpful and willing to share their knowledge and experience. Tom
  2. WOW!!! Really a jawdropper!! Detail is amazing!! I really like the way you made the rune inskriptions and the way they interact with the frame!!! Just awsome!! Tom

  6. That is a beautiful case!!! Love the texture and colours!! Tom
  7. Yep, that is true Bree!! Thanks a bunch Kate!! Yep, I love the term less is more!! This is only my third project where I use Fiebings Aussie conditioner and Fiebings Leather Balm With Atom Wax as top coat and before that I mainly used Fiebings Leather sheen. I think a good buffing might be the key no matter what top coat used. Thank you very much Bob! I love working with clean designs alltough it can be good fun to let the creative itch go haywire from time to time;-) Thanks all!! Tom
  8. Thank you very much Nomad!! Ah, tack Syrran!!! Thank you very much Bruce!!! Thank you Johnny!!! I used a diluted Fiebings pro oil red first and then some of the old Tandys mahogany on top of it. No resist in between the two coats. Thanks all, I take my deepest bow!! Tom
  9. Thank you Major!! Thanks David!!1 Yep, this a very good design to start out with because it is easy to modify and find intersting new combos with. Also gives a good surface to carve and tool. Tom
  10. Thank you Crystal!!! It's been a while since I posted and I only work on and off at the moment. I got the buckle from customer, it is just some kin of steel, old and used. The keeper is a treat from me since I didn't have the time to make a fitting one myself. Looks alomst like brushed but i think it's some kind of antique finish to it. ALMOST fits with the buckle ;-) Gunna try pick up pace but I've been saying that since early January ha ha Tom
  11. Thank you Bree!! Just that I know I can do better with the the swivelknife. Thanks alot Troy!!! Thank you Jake!! I used Coca color white (diluted) and painted the cuts with it and also a damp cloth to whipe excess off from top of leather. Fnínally some touch ups with a sharpie..oh and I put some leathersheen into the cuts aswell to bond the cova color. Swift respones!! Thank you all!!! Tom
  12. I think it was DCKnives who posted a pattern for this one so thanks for that. I used this design to have something to go by to learn how to make them from two different leathers. This one is basically a functional prototype so didn't put too much energy into it but made a simple celtic eagle carving anyways. Tom
  13. Nutting fancy, just an inlayed name. Not happy with carving but it is what it is now and deadline to close to go back and redo it. Didn't get the borderlines as straight as I wanted either. Tom
  14. Happy Birthday Clay!!!! Sorry I came in one day late but i was born that way;-) Hope you got lots of useful leathertools but seems to me like you allready got what you need!!!! Tom
  15. That is a really cool piece Spider and as you allready know I dig the mask!! Perfect piece for Friday 13th;-) Tom

  20. Congratulations John!! Great news and busy but happy days for you!!!! Tom
  21. Wow, those are really nice looking tools!!! I'm quite minimalistic too when it comes to the tools I use and work alot with developing and building my own style with small steps at the time. I've been working alot with red and black combos for a period now because it's been in demand and also a good thing to develop a sense of how to vary yourself with limited resources. For tools I use mostly bevelers and backgrounders just as you but sometimes try to use some of the ones I have laying in the bottom of my drawer. Keep it up your work is looking very very good. Tom
