Looks killer! great job!

The vingaroon does not work with resist, it will wick under and up thru the leather and change color as in the letters haas. i got real close with the vingaroon and painted black dye with a brush around the other carvings

I needed a portfolio for some events i attend and decided to make one. also here's the Gremlin seat finished. The Portfolio has Neatsfoot oil rubbed in and balm with atom wax for the finish. The seat has been dyed with vingaroon and the Gremlin has resist with saddle tan over it

I finally got the next seat dyed, i mixed up some vinagaroon and painted it on with a brush close to the tooling, not too close or it wants to wick up into the tooling, it turned a nice black, then a dyed the leather closer to the tooling and blended it all together. i laid some resist on the tooling and some green dye for the eyes.this may be a better picture

Thanks you all very much for the compliments. here's a bigger picture for ya Johanna Chad, this seat will have 1.5 inches of neoprene foam, it will be comfortable. here's a pic of the seat pan and foam, this is the thickest seat i made . i make my own seat pans and they're made to fit the bike they go on. i made a seat for a man that weights in over 300 + lbs and 6'6' tall, that was a huge seat and weighed a lot, it only has 1.25 inches of foam and he loves it. I also redid my seat on my softail, it has a Corbin plastic seat pan and very thin padding, i replaced the cover with tooled leather and left the padding as is , but the seat is very comfortable and i can ride for days with no problem

Awesome Looking Seat !! I'm not much on black seats either, unless they're stock Naugahyde. That seat would look killer any color, excellent job! Good Luck with the raffle
