  1. Here is where I get most of my forms. They offer Rings, ASP (red) and Blackhawk (new to the market but very good quality). Very good prices and very good customer service. Elite Tatcial Services Looks like the site is having some problems right now.
  2. Great looking knife holders. Very classy selection.
  3. I do a 50/50 cut of Resolene/water. I dip my rigs and then let it drip down and clean up any extra. Stick it in front of a fan overnight up to 12 hours and I don't buff.
  4. I agree with Shorts...I don't back stitch either. I just snip the threads close and after top coat the threads won't go anywhere.
  5. Like others have said the clip is so far out that the gun will not be stable. You can add a second clip on the front and turn it into a pancake style. Another option is move the clip closer to the center of the weight of the gun like over the trigger area. The holster is well constructed and looks good.
  6. Mine was not very ideal for my first. Much better now.
  7. I use Resolene with a 50/50 mixture with water to dip the whole holster and when dry just insert the form a number of times to smooth out the inside. You can also spoon the leather area to smooth out the rough inside. I also choose smooth inside leather and don't worry about lining. Works for me.
  8. Shorts, Looks great and looks like the cant works perfectly. I'm sure he will love it. Keep up the good work.
  9. Hi Randy, It is 7-8 oz and seams to work well. The IWB I added a reinforcement due to thinner leather of 5-6 on the outside and 6-7 on the inside. Ideally for this weight of a gun 6-7 or 7-8 would be better than no reinforcement is necessary. The marbling effect is due to different densities in the leather and using water based dyes. It is a nice look and people seem to like it. Regis, The clip is straight and this has worked well and makes it easy to assemble and very secure in practice. All, The color is Bison Brown and the holsters were dipped and then wiped off right away after 5 seconds in the mixture. The both are actually darker than the pics due to messing with the light % for the pics to show up well.
  10. I picked up a new (1980) S&W 66-1 so I had to make a couple of holsters. My Double Clip with J clips.
  11. True, I also champer the edges by hand of the slots. It makes for a better slot but can make the holster squeek in that area.
  12. I will most likely be making some thing like that for my wife's purse. Great gun the Bersa 380... I have one also.
  13. I use a half moon wood working cutting tool to cut the top and bottom and then cut between the two points. Works very well for me.
  14. Darn good looking holster. I might have to get out my basket weave tools this weekend.
  15. RC is right. I have been using my Toro 3000 for 2+ months now and wow it saves time and allowed me to do twice the number of holsters in less time than before. A win-win in my book and the Artisen folks are great to work with.
  16. I love the lacing detail on the knife carrier. Very nice design and good execution.
  17. Good looking rough out rigs. I like rough out options for a number of reasons.
  18. Looks good Randy. Now your making me want to get my camera out.
  19. Another good looking and functional holster. I like Snap on versions especially for left hand carry.
  20. I would buy one. I even have the drill press already.

    the best leather

I will have to try a couple different sides from W&C, Goliger and maybe Weaver to see what works out best.
  22. I like how the "bat wings" around the belt slots look like they stablize the holster real well. It also tucks up real well. I think you found a winner and a unique pattern.

    Shark Wholesale

I would be interested in a hide on the smaller side as a first test. I will PM you. Thanks, Erik
  24. I also use 5-6 for IWB with reinforcement. Works well that way.
