  1. Nice job. Looks good.
  2. CJ, Nice looking work. I see some mastering of skills in the second holster. Very complicated design. I think you pulled it off well. Looks good.
  3. Great work! I really like the detail, looks worn around the billet holes, etc. Just a great job. Looks like it belongs in the Packing Iron book.
  4. Hey Josh. Did you ever see the Muppets. How about the two old men in the balcony? They got those characters from Lobo and Katsass! My last batch of leather is wicket and craig. I noticed it is different from HO. But it seems to stiffen up pretty good. I dip my holsters in finish. Although I'm not sure that would be your prob. Which part of the hide are you using? Sorry if this is a stupid question. Just thinking of the obvious first. Jeff
  5. Too cool. Good looking holster. Better story. That's priceless.
  6. Mike, Great job. I can only imagine Ray will be flattered. I think you have a very unique eye for holsters. I have been tempted to copy your style for my 44 special. But I have not had time to experiment with it yet. Please accept that imitation is the highest form of flattery.
  7. Good job. Did you come up with the tooled design or was that part of the kit? Looks good.
  8. No doubt in my military mind - you are an artist. I love making revolver holsters, especially the little j frame. You set the bar so high I'm satisfied if I can place or show. Great work.
  9. Great job Troop. I really like your work.
  10. I like it. Looks cool.
  11. I do basically the same thing. I got the first die from TCD and it was not the right size and it was set up for a clicker press. I specifically wanted a die 1 and 9/16 x 5/16 and just the bottom portion of the die, no handle or top portion. Then I welded a socket onto the die and I use my shop press to punch the slots. It goes through multi layers of leather very easy. I punch top to bottom. Only the bottom layer has to be edge beveled. I will try to post a picture of my set up tomorrow if anyone is interested. I vary a little from Denster process - I don't wet the leather before punching.
  12. Frank, Those are AWESOME!
  13. Fredo, I am not a knife sheath maker so I have no technical comments. But I do admire a good knife and leather for it. Your rig looks awesome.
  14. Great job. What a nice surprise.
  15. Dave, Very cool. I really like this design.
  16. Thanks for the compliments guys. Mike - I think the "speed strips" are becoming more popular again because they are so easy to conceal. Speed loaders are obviously faster to reload. But I think that has more of an application for LE folks as compared to regular defensive carry folks. I emailed the guys at TUFF quick strips. They said they would give me a discount on their quick strips. I thought about adding a quick strip with the pouch. My thinking is I can offer the pouch with strip at an affordable price. I'm passing this along in case any one else might be interested in doing the same thing.
  17. Max, Nice job. I really like the color and the stitching.
  18. Made a cross draw holster. For a ruger SP101 3 inch with thumb break. When I made the pattern, it looked like the outline of the state of Texas.
