Cheryl, i grew up and spent my life in new orleans, very catholic, hows this for tortured, we have those same madonnas on the front lawns as a kid we were playing football and ran face first into the holy mother, definately left a mark. Weird too that you mention marble, i work at a monument company when im not offshore cutting marble and granite all day long

Not so much a direct connection with the catholic church more just iconic images, alot of the west coast choppers bikes use alotta lowrider style street art and mexican and chicano influenced art and madonnas and rosaries and the like are used alot in that style

Thanks cheryl, about 75 percent of my seats are commissioned but as im sure youve found out , leatherworking is a bit addictive, so even when the pressure of keeping up with orders and deadlines does let up I find myself still tappin away. Then I did good bro, the guy I made this seat for always wears wingtips, they call him wingtip, so he asks for an Indian Larry seat and asks if I can do something different on the tips of the wings, colorwise, just to tie in his name. After staring at it for awhile I came up with this, I think its a lot more classy lookin.

Angie you might want to try putting a regulator or even a plain valve on the output of the compressor, or raising the ram or lowering the plates so that at full stroke it stops where you want it to

I use cardboard concrete forms from home depot, come in different diameter from 5 inch to 1 foot

Who is the maker of the 26 stamps, I ask because Im not familiar with anyone selling stamps at that price. Usually much cheaper or more expensive than the 12-25$ range you mention

Rob something Ive done was to position the foam on the pan and mark out the general are of the pocket then I take the foam and lay it on something, I use a piece of 6 inch PVC this will put the foam in a convex instead of concave position, them I use an angle grinder with a 3 inch or 2 inch sanding disk and slowly remove the are i need to remove, takes a little practice and moving the foam back and forth between the pan and pipe until you get what you want, remember you can always remove more but you cant put it back so take a little bit at a time, this Ive done with high density closed cell neoprene. havent tried with any other foam

Billy, Ive bent four of the hidecrafter stamps, Im pretty sure it was because of low grade steel, never hit any of them that hard. They replaced them all without a problem and told me that I wasnt the first to do so.
