  4. Ive got a project in the works, and was wondering if there was a tutorial somewhere that could show me how to do the braid that is used on the rear jockeys, the one that youd use to butt joint two flat pieces of leather together

  9. Hey Billio, my recomendation as far as Motorcycle saddles would be to steer clear of the Eco Flo Line, I wouldnt consider using anything but spirit based dyes like Fiebings or Angelus.

  14. Sorry to Bump this back up but reallu hoping for a suggestion as this seat is supposed to ship this weekend

I dyed a seat with Feibings black, then put a coat of Leather Balm w/ Atom wax, after buffing noticed one area on the seat really needs some more dye, coming through with a purplish tint, can I shoot this with some more dye? Do I have to do something to strip the wax off first? Or if this wont work what about using vinagroon over dye? Any help will be greatly appreciated, sure dont wanna break this seat down. Rick

  17. Anyone have any experience with Tandy Royal Meadow leather, how it tool and dye?
  18. Thanks Cuda for the kind words, I just used a wider beveler, a hackbarth brand, and cut a little deeper since this was some pretty thick hide, 8 oz.
