Thanks Moe, I think between the two it was around 25-30 hours. Just a project I went back and forth to in between commissioned seats. I'll get a pic of the inside tomorrow and post it. Still debating on lining it, got some heavy oil tanned suede thats a sand color laying around, I think it'd be a nice touch to cover up all the chicago screw heads in there. Got another seat thats sharkskin inlayed, I think Im gonna do a matching bag for it too

Thanks Bro Thanks Freak, I dyed everthing that needed to be dyed before any assembly, This was Angelus Dark Brown, the more of the Angelus dyes I use the harder it is to go back to Feibings Thank you Dave, cant begin to tell you what its like getting comps from you, honestly seeing your work and Christians from Xian leather is what got me into this in the first place.

Who carries the best quality chicago screws, I dont remember where I got my last batch but the slots in the head are super shallow and so is the dome itself, not happy with them at all.

Sheridan Finish
rickeyfro replied to rickeyfro's topic in Dyes, Antiques, Stains, Glues, Waxes, Finishes and Conditioners.
Thanks Kevin, what Im mainly concerned with is keeping the antiquing where it belongs, as you know most of what I do is motorcycle seats and I tell everyone to stash a plastic shower cap on the bike in case they get caught in a downpour to slip it over the seat, but sooner or later theyre bound to catch a few drops, and after spending so much energy trying to convince people to go with a natural finish as opposed to just dying the whole thing black, Id hate to have em come back at me with a bunch of antique runs all over the seat. And thanks for asking about the spill, the spill itself hasnt done as big a number on us as the president has with stopping everyone from making a living. Im sure the intention was good but not to sure alotta thought was given to the results. Im still working but its on the cleanup side of things. Oh forgot, what do you use to thin it with? and what kinda ratio? -

Most Popular Fiebings Dye Colors?
rickeyfro replied to Randall Leather's topic in Leatherwork Conversation
I use alot of dark & medium brown, I usually airbrush these in a fade. Also like saddle tan and walnut. Sorta got away from black dye because I mostly build cycle seats and the rub off is a problem, whenever I get a request for black I now use vinagroon -
Thanks Troy

Thanks Max, holster sits pretty good, not the easiest thing to get threaded on the belt and through the belt loops though, design may need some tweaking Thanks DS beginning to see that lacing goes alot easier when you use kangaroo.
