  2. I just got a Gomph Channeler on Ebay for an excellent price, tools in excellent condition except for one thing, it's missing the blade. Anyone know where I could get one or who might be able to make me one?
  3. Randy, wondering if you could steer me in the right direction, Im looking to attempt a saddle, been studying Jeremiah Watts videos and got a Wade tree but trying to find a basic cutting pattern for the parts, not looking to steal anyones design, just doing this for my own entertainment, any thoughts. Rick

  4. After alot of studying of videos etc. I think Im finally ready to take a stab at making my first saddle. What Im wondering is, are there any pattern sets available? Or whats the best way to make a set. Im hoping I dont have to buy and disassemble a saddlle in order to get a set
  5. I never heard them called "hats" before...oh wait you mean the things on their heads?

  10. 3M Super 77 I never glue the leather to the foam though, I glue the foam to the pan and I cover top and bottom of pan with leather and lace them together, Ive done seats with no leather on the bottom but I dont think theres any glue strong enough to keep that in place without rivets, maybe if its just gonna sit on a shelf but cant see a seat being ridden with nothing but glue keeping it together
  11. http://www.kingsmerecrafts.com/page100.html Here ya go buddy

  14. Ferg thats a mexican round braid and I use high density closed cell neoprene, I order it online from a place called foam by mail, free shipping on orders of $75 and more Yes Billio foam is 3/4" thick high density closed cell neoprene guote name='billio8' timestamp='1294699842' post='181187'] OK, my Engrish translating is a little rusty, but I will take a stab at this one. I think Billio is asking about the lacing layout (possibly got translated as calculated), and if there is a difference in size between the top, and bottom. Is there foam involved? Hehehehe is not easy to explain what you want to ask thanks for having explained it for me I cut the top leather 1/2 inch larger than the actual size of the pan, this is when using 3/4 inch foam, I then cut the bottom leather 3/4 inch larger than the top leather. Bottom leather is attached to pan, foam is shaped and then after tooling top leather is we formed over foam. Then I Barge cement the perimeter of the top to the perimeter of the bottom, after cement sets I then trim the bottom leather to meet the top and punch holes. Using 1/4 inch lace I space holes 1/4" apart and 1/4" in from the edge. thanks for the explanation 3 / 4 inch foam is the thickness? thancks Billio8

  16. Billio Im not really understanding that question buddy
  17. I gotta agree, really dont understand why more suppliers refuse to use the priority mail flat rate boxes, cant see nothing but pluses in using these. Free boxes which in itself is a big deal, boxes aint cheap, super fast delivery, and you can even have the post office deliver the boxes to you and if you buy postage online they will pick it up. I use these all the time and just an example of one of the best sevings Ive had because of them was a shippment of 1 - 1/4" solid brass rod cut to 12" lengths, shipped across country for $11.95 this same box using the ups website would have cost me $72.00 to ship. Might be worth looking into.
  18. Thanks Kevin I'll try shooting him a fax
  19. Same here, Ive bought from them alott usually my orders from them consist of two or three double shoulders or backs and Ive never seen anything unusual about there shipping fees, Ive nover bought a small order from them so maybe thats the rub, maybe theres a flat base fee that hits hard on small orders, if thats the case they should state that in their shipping policy though to keep everyone from getting the big surprise.
