Bevel Edge Chisel sheaths

A friend who is a wood worker, asked me a year ago to make sheaths for his Japanese bevel edge chisel and 2 large bevel edge timber framing chisels. Picked away over the last year and I ally finished the last one and delivered it today. Japanese chisel - 9” in length was the first one completed and after delivering it to him he has been wearing it everyday (first photos below) one large timber framing chisel (black case below) is 16” in length largest timber framing chisel is 21” in length. (Photos to be added in next reply) He is pleased with how they came out, little fancier than he needed but practical for his use. Photos of largest framing chisel -
As I am not a great golfer, I usually carry a few spare balls in my back pocket. Wanted to figure out a carrier I would be comfortable with so built one to use this season. Small issue with belt clip stud, secure but off centre ( not seen so will leave). Left it natural except for coating of Smith Leather Balm to see how it ages. Additional photo

Yeh I liked how it came out. 8 sides sounds interesting.

Last thing finished for Christmas presents. Couple of other items on the go but will need to wait. Will try the next one with snaps but like how the Chicago screws came out. Happy Holidays. The back

Thank you Shhhhh, I am trying already to get all my projects ready for Christmas, do not give my wife anymore ideas.

They did not have a name for it, but the internet had a similar game called Farkle. It said there are variations of the game and scoring.

Neighbours introduced us to a game played with 6 dice. We enjoy playing it and introduced it to one of our daughters and her partner, they also had a blast, my wife “suggested” that we should give both of our daughters six dice for Christmas and hey I could make a bag for the dice. Two days later after researching and finding a design I liked here they be. Happy how they came out now to make one for us.

Slick Sheath

I like your design, I have made two cases for a buddy of mine, I like how you wet moulded yours I was looking to do that on the last one I owe him as it is 2” wide Blade and the thickness of the taper of the blade. I found the making of the side rand was so thick, due to the taper of the blade, it was tough getting stitching holes through. Quick questions, Did you put extra leather in the end to compensate for the sharpness of the blade? What weight leather are you considering? -
Minimalist Wallet

Wanted to thin out my old wallet, so it is flatter in my pocket or travel bag, ring will allow it to be hooked to my key lanyard in my travel bag or could be like biker wallet with a chain. Combined two designs, I had done for my daughter and her partner to make what I figured I was looking for. Found a scrap Kodak leather piece and dyed the card holders in what I felt was a good contrasting colour. Each pocket holds 2 cards, slot with fastener can hold an overflow if needed and back will hold folded bills if I ever have any. Slots lined with pigskin. -
Very nice, thinking of doing one myself. For the leg split do you find it sits ok or are you constantly readjusting? Also did you consider straps for the leg sections?
-
Very nice, great idea carrying leather down to the foot rest, really makes it pleasing to the eye. Quick question did you make the frame or repurpose an old one?
-
Here it is, runs entire length of middle section and 1” in the end pieces, sewn and glued. I get what you did there!

It is climbing accessory cord like a braided polyester line, 1/4 between sections.

Too true, hope to put many miles on it.
