  2. I am in the process of making a rope can. I want to be sure the leather sticks to the can and doesn't move. Would ya'll suggest glue or epoxy to make sure it stays down for the long haul? Thanks!
  3. As far as being "bashed and trashed" -in my opinion you reap what you sew. I have given him numerous, numerous chances to make ammends. In fact I have an e-mail that i wrote in January 2008 complaining about his customer service. He wrote me back and in part of the email he told me, and i quote this-copy and paste actually " The only "salesman" in the company is myself. I concentrate on accounts which have the capabilities of spending, minimum over 1M/year." I think its safe to say he has probably lost most of these customers also or he wouldn't have the time to get on a forum to defend himself. As far as Mr. Siegel having a business to run...I too, have a business to run and really do not have the time to deal with his bad customer service, receiving bad leather, and just the overall run around of dealing with with him. While we are on the topic of running a business I highly doubt I would have many customers if I told them to email me if they had a problem because I was much to busy to talk to them. Talk is cheap....
  4. Mr. Siegel, I personally feel like if you don't have time to talk to me on the phone I don't have time to do business with you. Email you??? Seriously? You're asking people who have had customer service issues with you to email? Wow. I too have had customer service issues with you in the PAST. The last time I called to place an order you transferred the call to a sweet girl who could barely speak english....no thanks. I personally prefer someone with good communication skills. I have spent ALOT of money with you in the past but, I have made my best effort to change that....besides, I know you're much to busy with " Walt Disney Corp., The Kentucky Derby, and NYPD" to do business or talk to us "hobbyists". You do have nice leather but, alot of people have the combination of nice leather and good customer service. Thanks!
  5. - You know everyone on this board is very proud of the work they do. It is sad someone like you comes on here and belittles other peoples work for personal satisfaction or even worse - a dollar. I think this board should be encouraging and uplifting.
  6. Unfortunately, that isn't it. Thank you though!
  7. I am looking for a particular purse pattern. I have looked high and low and can't find it. The purse i am looking for is about 8" tall around 13" wide and around 5" deep. They have tooling on the top, bottom, and sides. I have seen them with hair on hide in the middle. It's not a Tandy pattern... I have seen that several good toolers all use this same pattern. Its somewhat similar to a shaving kit i have seen where the tooling goes all the way around the bottom. Thanks!

  19. hello, like most things in my life, im a little late on this post. if rosin is what you want to know about im your man. I dont know anything about beeswax/rosin mix . I do know black rosin is stickier than yellow or clear. They put rosin on a violin bow to make friction so it will get better contact and more drag. bull riders heat it up on their ropes and gloves where it wll get sticky and saddle bronc riders heat it up on their saddle swells and inside of theirs thighs. Bareback riders dont heat it up they leave it in powder form and use it as lubrication to get their hand in the rigging, if they heat it up they probably couldnt get their hand in. the main reason baseball players, bowlers, and roughstock riders use rosin is the take away moisture. I personally use rosin ocassionally on machines in my shop to get better friction. if you're still needing to buy rosin contact me and i'll be happy to help you. thanks again!
