Sorry the delay, What I do is to cement a piece of fabric for each slot cut, like an envelope to hold the card, I don't know if is the best way, I just saw that on a tandy leather kit and though was a good idea. I cement one side right below the slot cut then I fold it and i glue the other side on top of the same slot cut and, I do the same on each one.

Hello keplerts, I guess you posted on the wrong post, my template is shorter than 8" but, I if you are talking about a wallet, in general the interior is shorter than the exterior to allow the wallet fold without a problem, I am learning still, but for sure the experts here can give you a better explanation. By the way your question makes me think about add measures on my pattern so, here is the new file.

  14. A letter size sheet will give you the pattern to cut, you can make a double id wallet, a six card wallet or an Id three card wallet, the design is open to the imagination. And will be nice is you post pictures of it too.
