  1. sounds good...just let me know.
  2. Ms. Anne: it was a pleasure meeting you and thanks for the help in getting connected with the presentation folks. As for the gift, it was really our honor to present Mr. Shelton with this gift! Anyone doing leathercraft will come across Mr. Shelton's work, influence in the art or even his tricks of the trade. His lessons have made things much easier for the rest of us. We hope he enjoys his gift and lives on many years.
  3. Good luck and Congrats! Try this site.....www.conchos.com
  4. I really like how that pearshader work turns a background into a nice touch! I do have a question.....what did you use for a resist? I have seen that look before! Otherwise, she should be very proud of it. God bless
  5. Just say the word and I can send you a couple of my "I don't use" knives for you to try out under one condition......You send them back, please!
  6. Speaking of Peter Main.....His thinned out blade would be something I would very interested in taking it out for ride! As for the spoon, I own them, but don't use them as much. Maybe I need to take a class from Peter cuz his stuff look awesome without beveler work. Either way, Barry or Paul or even Chuck Smith.......You will not go wrong! Enjoy
  7. Here is a easy one for you. I have a 7/16" Barry King with a 3/8" blade and I hardly use it. I also have a 1/4" Al Gould LW Special with a semi-coarse barrel and a 1/4' blade which started out as a straight blade, but I made it angled about 10 degrees...personal preference. Anyways, I pretty much use my LW for all purpose unless I am going to carve long lines and such. At which time I bust out my old Japanese 22mm barrel with a ceramic blade or my Al Stohlman 5/8" with a 3/8" blade. For me! I really didn't like the BK knife, but love and use everything else he sells! Paul is very good to work with and I am getting ready to order a 1/2" barrell knife from him with a grounded down 3/8" blade from him. I don't know what I will do with the rest of my knives?? Either way, good luck!
  8. Sons of witches! Sad news especially on his upcoming celebration! Thanks for Sharing Anne

  11. Welcome to the forum! Keeping our neighbors in our prayers with your current ocean situation. Sit back and relax....you will learn plenty here!
  12. Very nice taps.....and beautiful saddle!
  13. Tim: Welcome to Texas! We would love to have you as a member here in Austin. Several of us do get together often and just talk and play with leather. You can also do what I did my first year when I moved her to Texas. Find leather related shops and professionals and pay them a visit. Tell them you are new to the area and tool. You would be surprised how many shops would invite you in. But I also found a couple that were a little secreative and were not as inviting, so just be open. There is one shop that I have been dying to visit in a small city west of Waco....cannot remember the name right now. Good luck and keep in touch.....be more than happy to help you out as much as I can.
  14. I have some old craftool bargrounders, the larger ones. I also have a couple of Ellis Barnes/Hackbarth and I have to agree with Bruce...they are sticky. Jeremiah said to use a toothpick and rub the inside with rogue to help them out from sticking. I just cannot steer my way to a bargrounder. I love my A104 and I know that it is not the typical tool of professional tooler, but I love it. The Hackbarth are collecting dust and they are brand new. At the last Boot and Saddle show, Chuck Smith has the new bargrounder set for $115. I watch as Don Butler tried them out and he gave his blessing? Good luck!
  15. Very nice work.....just love the flowers and flow of your recent padfolio cover?

  16. Very nice cover!
  17. What a beautiful set! Awesome inlay on the stand!
  18. Welcome to the forum and greetings from Central Texas!
  19. Thanks for the comments. I thought it was a pretty cool idea to blow money on. As for the pixel-whatever you called it: the lady sent it to me after 'plotting' it using her software. The original design was the one that Ms. Brenda sent me for my delrin stamp, so I cannot help you on that. She guarantees my satisfaction and I hope to have them on Tuesday next week. I will definately post a picture once I get it on my laptop or truck, whichever comes first!
  20. I found a local lady that makes vinyl stickers for horse lovers and their trailers. I sent her my logo and asked her to develop some laptop stickers for my family laptops. After playing email tag, I settled on this layout. I thought it was pretty cool. I am thinking of having her do about 50 2.5"x2.5" stickers that I can accompany gifts and other commissions that I do. What do you all think? Enjoy!
  21. I have no idea....sorry.
