    Cool stuff Ed. I love what you are doing with the mauls! You need to come up with a mallet style one maybe 1.25 pounds. Love the burl wood handles. Super fine!

    Very cool look! Departure from your usual ultra clean minimalist look. I am thinking that the infinity symbol maybe a brand or something. Sometimes we can find ranch cattlebrands on th hides we get. I like how you incorporated it into the design.

    Another one of the series I have been creating of Aztec gods and art. He's abpot 8.5x11 inches. Took about five hours from start to finish.

    Been doing a lot of Aztec and Mayan research and art of late. This is of Xolotl the twin brother of Quetzalcoatl the Feathered Serpent. The mistake that the Aztecs made was in thinking that Hernan Cortez was Quetzalcoatl returning to the land he had left so long ago.

    One is a oakleaf/basketweave blend and the other decorated with Mayan glyphs.

    Someone I have met recently wants to try and create some high end one off purses with custom carving and silver.Just have to wait and see.

    Brent...For most of us the ultimate dream is making a saddle or two or three. It is clear that you are living the dream. I have known some people who can really carve and some who are superb saddle makers but it is not often you get to see the blending of the two. Super fine clean job. That is a piece of art! You have done yourself proud!!!!! Storm

    Yet another marvelous piece of leather work. The detail of your carving is fantastic. Do you make your own tools or do you buy someone elses? The arabic script centers are pure artistry!!! It is always a pleasure to see your work.
