  3. Very cool looking key fob. I have one I make but its like yours only a fold over. I am working on a new one but need to make it bigger to do what I want. I usually use Ilustrator and Photoshop. The computer works wonders some times.

  10. I just saw a few of these in a Western with Lou Diamond Phillips called "Lone Rider". Yours looks a whole lot better. Maybe you should make up some for the movies!
  11. Nice work Rick! Love the color and the look!
  12. The design was inspired by a Pre-Columbian Inca Jar I saw. There was this cool vertical panel on the front. A little photoshop magic and some illustrator reconstruction and ....something different!

  21. Wilbur Smith!?!?! God I thought I was the only one who read him! HA! This carving is beyond anything that I have ever seen. It makes me want to strive harder and to perfect the skills I have. Just the wreath of roses and the lady are one thing but the entire background thown in makes for stuff that legends are made of. Now I know I must work harder and hope that Imight obtain but a fractio of the skill that it took to create such a masteroiece of carving and color. This is fine art!!! Thanx for sharing
  22. OMG! WTF!The rose lady piece is one of the finest I have ever seen. Is there a bigger version of this image. I am speechless! Somebody the other day said that leather carving was a dead art! I so beg to differ with him. That is hall of fame material!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!! How big is the Rose Ladycarving!?!?!
  23. Hi Chuck, Looks like you are getting a good start. Love the thing you have going with the skull. For someone starting out that is not too bad at all. I might suggest getting Al Stohlmans books on Figure Carving but I guess the foremost thing is to practice and practice some more. Start off with some scrap tooling leather and then if you goof up its not going to feel so bad. Go here:http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php? There , at the top you will see Johanna's piece called " Instruction sheet from introductory leather class by John Henry" Nothing like the basics. Also just explore through the site and you are going to find a whole lot of talented people. They've been were you are right now and you can learn alot from them. Good Luck and Let's See Some More Carving Real Soon Storm
