  1. Trying to get in some more practice on my figure carving.
  2. Been wanting to locate the following for awhile and perhaps someone has them and is intersted in selling them if it is they don't use them. They are probably discontinued.Used to have some of them but they seemed to have disappeared in my divorce. F996 F995 T448 T942 T943 T944 THANX!!

  4. Bet ga got out of a few honey dos with this one. Nothing like a hand made gift!
  5. Thanx Tommy! My problem is that if I have too much Jack Daniels I wouldn't care about the how steady my hand is. LOL!
  6. Who ever it was made for will not be unhappy!!!! Great Work!
  7. Gorgeous piece of work! All I can say is I wish I was as good at florals. Your skill is something to aspire to.
  8. :head_hurts_kr:I have seen his work before !! Bare in mind that he only bevels and does not use any sort of modeling tool. Check out more of his material. His florals are unreal!!!! Keeeeeep this inmind! He only uses a beveler and does not use any modeling tools. This side of perfect and his flroals are not to be believed!
  9. Very nice work! The lacing is excellent!!
  10. It is good to get paid for a job but when your client loves it....that is a total win-win situation.
  11. Thanks Homes! I like the wavey lined veiner too. Sort of like southwest sunrays! Besides not everyone can afford all of the tools out there and when you can get something different out of those we have cool!
  12. Very nice man! I am sure your customer will love it. Very cool!!!
  13. Nicely done! I am not surprised at the prices as they are low compared to some. One watch collector I know will buy custom from Hong Kong of all places. And we are talking high hundreds and even thousands. REALLY AMAZING! I don't think that I could do such small work anymore. My fingers are like sauasages! HA! Very Nice Work!
  14. Bonne Jour! Hello! Looks like you have a good start going here. There are four things that someone needs to get better at this. 1.Practice 2.Proper tools 3.Good Visual References 4. Practice, Practice and more practice. There is a great book on Sheridan Carving by Gardner and Fay that is out there. Image of same here with. Also just going around this site will reveal to you some wonderful examples of what others are doing. Bonne chance! Good Luck!
  15. Thnx for the compliments guys! I think that if we try exploring around on pieces of scrap then who knows...might come up with somethings that are unique and interesting. Sort f thinking outside the box.
  16. Love the new seat and that's no bull! Sorry couldn't esist the gag. LOL! I love the bull! He has a great character look about him!!
  17. Well I wonder if Tandy still sells it but it is very much like their: Tejas Florentine Lace - Natural Color - 3/16 x 25 yards -#55006 - $29.99 or Warehouse at $24.00 per spool. The holes can be punched using a Craftool Four In One(3/32" holes) But best to experiment and probaly bring in the hole spacing a shade tighter. For a big project I have used the lace and done a Double Cordavan and it works real well also. Hope that helps!
  18. Very cool look. I don't know homes! Perhaps you should have made the mask awhile ago! LOL!! Now make a molded one like a day of the dead skull and they will beat a path to your doorstep! Nice one!
  19. Very cool job! The carve is deep and defined!
  20. Playing around tyring to come up with some new variations using the same old tools
  21. The approach to the buds is a very old style used by Al and Ann Stohlman. There is another I want to try using a Cam and a seeder.
  22. Thanx guys! I will test it out later. I hate having to drive out of state to get something I need. Nothing like a field expedient! LOL!
  23. No but that is not a bad idea! I will experiment with it. Thanx!
  24. Very nicely done! Battle ready sword?!!?
