  4. Very nice. Like the image too. What I have done in the past is make practice pieces with scrap and play with the distance between holes. I also bevel both sides before starting my lacing. Storm

  6. You put it all together. Looks super Spider! Congradulations!!!! Storm

  8. Do some research on how the Eskimo people build Kayaks and what they use. May depend on your construction approach but here is always polyuretane. Storm

    Bicycle seat

Hi Susan, Nice job on the seat! I also like the water bottle holder. Think hubby needs to take his lady out to dinner. Thanx for sharing. Storm
  17. Hi Bruce, Just wanted to say thanks for the tutorial on the basket weave on a curve. Just finished using it on a sunvisor I am making. Altough the further out from the center you go you do get to a point where it almost comes apart. In my case made it by the skin of my teeth. LOL! Thanx again. It sure did the trick. Storm
  18. http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/product...?number=1309-01 Hi Hilly, If your friend is going to be using it alot then an alternative might be the "Sam Browne Button & Washer"This was something that had been used on Army leather holsters for years. It is just another possible way to hold the tin in place. Storm
  19. Glad to have you on board. Hope to see some of your work here on the board. Always nice to see another Californian on site. You will find a lot of help when you need it and a lot of great people from all over the world. Storm

    Map Pouch

Very Nice John, I also like the womens clutch you made too. I also liked your bowls. I know it's not leather but it is very nice work! Storm
  21. Finished the sunvisor for my friends daughter this morning. I did something experimental and sewed it together with something new from TANDY. This is called "Waxed Braided Cord(Orange). I sewed using double needle as might normally do. This cord comes in a whole bunch of colors that you can coordinate with the color scheme of your project. The buckle is a 1 1/4" buckle and uses one rivet to hold it in place. Never could understand why they stopped making this kit. But that is the way it goes on occasion. Storm
  22. Very soon webslinger. Very soon! HA! I cut out some head bands last night and just have to die and assemble later this morning. Storm
  23. Hi TJ, At first it started out as a Tandy kit years ago. I turned the kit into a pattern and used better leather. So it is a little bit of both. Storm
  24. Hey Darryl, Very nice piece. Functional and attractive and the same time. No reason why a piece can't look good while doing something useful. Really good work! Storm
