  1. Nice One! Bet you made points with our lady for creating this one! CLEAN!!!
  2. Thanx much ladies! The color is two parts EcoFlo All-in-one (Desert Tan) and one part distilled water. Becasue these EcoFlos are water based I decided to try and see what would happen. I think I was running short on dye and had to finish something. Anywho...it does work and allows me to modify the color by diluting it. As for the stitching...just two needles and some 4oz. artificial sinew. I really like the natural sort of color rather that white or black or dark brown.
  3. I am...crossing fingers...going to be doing some leather classes and this is going to be the first project. Pretty simple and straight forward. Two pieces of leather and some Cooperhead BBs.
  4. These new Conchos that you can get at Tandy are very nice. Best I have seen there in awhile!! The photo does not do them justice. They are all in the latest catalog.
  5. That looks super! I am betting that he loves the hell out of that one! It is always special and feels good to make something for your kids. Good thinking dad! Just cut back on the mashed potaotes and gravey and all those steaks. I know for a fact that they don't get any smaller. Gettin to the point that I can hardly lift my 18 year old up over my head anymore. The first time I did it I didn't have to listen to teenage back talk for a month. HA!
  6. Your work has a decidely gothic style. Very nice piece!
  7. VERY CLEAN STRAPS!!! I really like the vintage style pattern that you used.
  8. Very clean and I like the color. The swivel knife work really finishes it off!
  9. Love the simplicity of this one. Very clean work and the lacing is nice! Storm
  10. This looks really good. Super fine work!!!!

  12. :You_Rock_Emoticon:That one is really top notch!!!!! Beautiful!!
  13. I think that it's looking really good for a second try. One thing that might help in the future would be to use a modeling tool and smooth down some of the sharp edges you get after beveling. It can take a little longer but the end result makes it even more eye popping. I do like the fact that the Koi is wrapped around the body of the case like a tat flowing around an arm or leg. You do have a knack for the carving and with each passing piece your skill will grow. Can't wait to see her finished. Storm
  14. That is starting to really shape up, Like the direction that it's going.
  15. This is a man who is not only talented but also kind and generous! Hope the Senior Center made a lot of cash on the seats you created.

  16. Boy O Boy! This is the sort of thing Roy Rodgers and Dale Evans would have had in their master bath. Outstanding work!!!!
  17. This one is thinking outside the box! Cool one!
  18. These look tight Mike. I especially like the molded pancake holster. Very clean and nicely finished. I also think that your lady is going to like the seat and tool bag. Nothing says lovin' like hand tooled leather.
  19. Went to your site and have to say that there is nothing there on the does not truely shine! But every time I start to salivate over something and click on it I find it had been sold! HA! That is some of the finest stuff I have seen. It would make Jim Bridge drool at rendevous!

  20. :wtf: I am speechless! Those are both museum quality pieces. Either would be a great companion to my .58 Cal Hawken. That subtle color change in the beads is sweet. That Bear Jaw takes the cake and all the frosting. Jeremiah Johnson would be proud!!!!!!
  21. Thanks everyone! Appreciate the good words!

  23. Made a case for my new shears. If anybody is interested these Gingher Shears are really great!! Super sharp and worth the extra. Wanted to have something to be able to protect them when I'm not using them.
