The other day while searching this wonderful leather site I came across a picture of a strap or belt with two equally spaced lengthwise slices. They were maybe 10" long. Then the belt or strap was turned back into itself a number of times to make a braided look with a solid piece of belt or strap.
Could some one either show me an example or point me to a post of how to do it.
Thanks
vince
I just won a Tippmann Boss on Auction (actually I have to pay for it) at e-bay. Not having used one before I am wondering what size thread to get for the different leathers I will be sewing together. Mostly I am going to concentrate on cowboy style belts and holsters so I am thinking it will be between 7oz and total of 12oz leather. Any suggestions would be appreciated except to get rid of it and get a powered machine. This is going to be my first atempt at sewing with a machine. Oh by the way it is an older cast iron one that has been rebuilt by tippmann. Also what is the difference between the chisel point needles and the round point that Tippmann sells?
Thanks for any replys.
