  2. i do believe a lacing chisel will give you a straight line as opposed to a slant or diamond shaped hole, I think Springfield leather as well as others suppliers sell them...

  7. Probably because you have been busy making stuff, great work, love the tooling on that holster...

I used fiebings saddle tan cut down with denatured alcohol, took a small jar, put a couple inches of the alcohol in it and then added the dye, just a few drops at a time of until the desired color was achieved, then finished it off with a light coat of wax , I learned on this website when I was having the same problem, easier to control the depth of color you want to achieve when you start out light, each coat will slightly darken.

  11. Indeed beautiful work, one of my next projects for sure, but I can tell you it won't be as purdy as the ones your making, just starting out and I have a lot to learn...keep up the great work chief...

Just thought I would stop in and say Hello, started doing leather holsters a few weeks ago, lots to learn so I thought this would be the best place to find answers, been on this site a few times and there are some real good leathersmiths ( hope that is a correct term) here, hope to learn from some of them...
