I have blue & red with black also. Got them on eBay. You can't believe how fast the things sell I made. I made a trunk out of the red & pink, gun case out of the pink all which are gone already, haven't used the blue/black yet. -
Leather Covered Gun Case

The case is just a padded Allen case I got at Wal-Mart. Last yr when I came up with this idea I struggled trying to figure out how to incorporate the padding & zipper an all covered in hair on hide an still keep it reasonable priced. The I got to looking at my 9mm case an thought i can just cover it. That came out perfect so I ran to Wal-mart & bought all they had, covered them an sold them the next day to a western store in Texas. Been doing it the simple way since....I like simple. All the cases are gone now so I don't have any to show you. Now talking about Pink Yak's, I use to dye my poodle different colors for the holidays, one Easter I dyed her purple. Had a enough dye left to do my sheep too, LOL. Poor Lamby Pie, he was lavender for almost a yr. Kathy -

Now this is a case for the girl who has everything. I put it on eBay, should be interesting if it sells, LOL. Couple other things I made with this hot pink cow! I had way to much fun with this hide. Kathy -

Leather covered flask
Kowboyboots replied to Randahl's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Nice, I bought a flask the other day but haven't had time to do anything with it. Nice filigree horse head -
very nice, fun to see the diversity in people, that too is how I keep going in these questionable times.

That is really nice! Did you come up with the guts your self or was that part a kit?

This weekend I had a great time doing these bright colored boxes. Cowhide Covered Blanket Chest, Truck 18"x14"x11" . Completely covered in smooth black leather, trimmed in hair on hide in a brilliant red & black pinto design. Horse head handles on the sides and two cowboy boots on the front. Inside is covered in a wonderful bright red suede fabric. After I took the pictures I also covered the latch with red hair on hide, can't even see it now. I also did a Pendleton Woolin Mill covered box that turned out pretty cool with leather trim.

eBay has several listings for scrap most of the time, today they don't, LOL. Get a hold of BC fabsee38@yahoo.com this is Pennyfabric on eBay, they usually have scraps. Just email them direct an tell them what you are looking for and how many pounds. I bet they can help. They are good people. kathy

pounce wheel More I can't find red right off hand except in the UK, but I know its out there. Poster paint may react with the oil in leather & stain, so don't use it on leather, now that I think of it. Pounce powder has some charcoal in it to help it cling but not stick.

Pounce powder is the powder that seamstress use to trace patterns onto things. It comes in several colors. Should be able to find at any fabric store, if not use powder poster paint or even baby powder. Use the tracing wheel on paper to put holes in it to follow the design. Put some pounce powder in a cheese cloth or something similar an pounce it over the holes. You can blow it off or wipe it with a damp cloth when through. Another thing I got to thinking was using the same thing the tattoo artist use to transfer the designs. That could be, as you have talked about, a thermalfax machine. Ask them because from I can see on the internet they do some of the transfers in red. I think they are using a thermal PRINTER not fax that does color. Epson makes the one I have. Haven't used it in yrs or I would try it for you, don't even know where the drivers are. Check with the Tattoo artist they would know.
