  1. Troy I use the same thing an it worked great for me also, but i bought one of those bags from Rockler. Those evacuation units work fabulously.
  2. Would love to see of of your bead work also.
  3. I am so glade to see the filigree coming back in style. That's all I did back in the 70's. Still have the messed up fingernail proving it, LOL, cut right throw my nail & finger one day. Any way now I use the hot knife to do the filigree cut. It cuts like a regular exact type knife an seals the edges at the same time. Works like my laser only I can't fit a whole belt in my laser so sometimes I have to use a different method. Yours looks wonderful!
  4. Is there a show or convention some where we could send things to a designated person to sell for the network? That would cover so many more people.
  5. I use mozilla too, goes right throw again. Crazy computers, LOL
  6. Must of fixed it, I went right to, an well worth it. Just WOW!
  7. I have an older but in great shape Tekcast Spin Caster & Vulcanizer for sale. Make your own gun parts, fishing lures, saddle parts (that's what I had it for). Send me you regular email address an I will send you pictures, this is a stock photo from Teckcast. It has been setting in my barn for a few years so is dirty, maybe I can find the cleaner pictures tomorrow, but it works fine. I made molds 2 years ago on it. It is just a little heavy for me to handle the disk & weights so I stick to the smaller casting. www.tekcast.com My vulcanizer is the same one in the front picture, just not as clean, the spin caster is a top loader an many of the frames & spacers are the same also. I have a series of 5 vhs training tape that are educational. All the books on the machine also. Must pick up or arrange for shipping as I can not move it to pack for freight. Thank you for looking.

It is just now in its infantry, so keep an eye out. We are going to have our first meeting at End of Trail this year. Please if you have any ideas or suggestions come join out forum at Wild West Arts Forum PrairieRoseKate aka Kathy
  9. I still haven't found a good source for small tacks but the small nails, Escutcheon Pins I get from Jamestown R. J. Leahy Company Jamestown has better prices but for the very short ones Leahy has them as well as nickle (silver colored). Oh this one too Nantucket Basket
  10. Thanks Chuck, I did. $17.50 sq ft. Not sure they are worth it where as i can shop on eBay & find one finished for $150. I tanned my own back in the 70's but that was a long time ago an I had a lot more free time. Thanks Kathy
  11. I think there is a Walla Walla in NZ also. It means many waters, but we say its the land you love so much you named it twice!
  12. I remember a good tannery in Riggins, Id many years ago. Are they still in business? I can't find them now. I have 2 elk cow hides shot this morning I want tanned. Any other ideas for someone rather close to Walla Walla, WA (250 miles). Thank you Kathy
  13. I found the belt buckles but they only had 5 bullets on them, well the ones I found. This saddle was shown on the "Western Shooting Horse" website before they up dated the forum last year. Only this one picture got saved. I was hoping to find some of these concho's already made, but if not I can make them. Another example was Ron Stolp's design put into leather. This is for SASS enthusiast so needs to be single action six shooter design. Thanks for the ideas. kathy
  14. Here is a picture of a stirrup I am trying to find the rest of the pictures of because of the concho. I want to find them or make some. Do you recognize the maker? Thank you Kathy
  15. Hey now you could tenderize meat with it too, LOL
  16. I am an Ag Teacher by trade, but only sub'ed a few times before my crafts keep me to busy to get a "real job". I am one of the very lucky ones, its not work if you love it as much as i do. Diversity is the key to my success. Leather Work, screen printing, sign making, awards, embroidery, if it is crafty I probably have the equipment to do it. Seldom bored, always low on money but I am not money motivated. My place is paid for, all my equipment is paid for, I don't owe any one any money. Yes I am blessed. Whats funny to me is when my husband passed away 12 yrs ago I took sometime off, but after 6 months I was so frickin bored I actually went into debt for a new business venture. It was very successful, but not as much fun as my crafts so after 3 yrs sold it too. My main business varies from season to season. Summer I make most of my living printing t-shirts, fall making the leather covered boxes I do, winter a little of it all, spring is mainly signs (baseball fields etc) awards are all yr long. This is a fun post thanks for starting it Josh. kathy
