  1. I like that. Is the leather mounted to a wood backing? And how is it mounted?
  2. Yep, looks great. Pretty nice "scrap" you have there.
  3. Very nice. I want to try a set of those someday.
  4. Stopped in and checked the place out this afternoon. Chatted with Mark a little too. Nice guy, nice place, and I dropped a few bucks. I don't think I will be able to make it in Dec though, hope some others from the board can though.
  5. I didn't know there was a store in Fargo. Is it new?
  6. You can get the cheap plastic expanding file folders from the dollar store. I use them to separate and store patterns, flyers, instructions and such. I have some books from Tandy that are the long kind. They are maybe 10x 14 or so. Hope you know which ones I mean. Anyway, I store them on coat hangers and hang them on a hook, they are out of the way and easy to get to. I store brushes, kvives, pens, pencils, rulers and such in a revolving kitchen utensil holder.
  7. Its not where you're at, but rather what you do when your there. Looks like a great place to lose track of time and enjoy yourself.
  8. There is a place here in South Dakota. Called the Roo Ranch. They have 2 or 3 of them.
  9. Not sure of the date, but Leatherworker & Saddlers Journal had a pattern a few years ago. I will try and find it for you.
  10. Here is the address I have been emailing him with.... dpeters@venturecomm.net
  11. I agree. People are not the only things missing character these days. Everything around you is cookie cutter designed. Oh yea, I'll get that other pattern you this weekend hopefully. Take care.
  12. I made one for my sons hat once. I used a concho on the band and put the screw through the hat too.

  15. Very nice. I'm not a big floral fan, but that is cool. I am not good at drawing, but believe that like other arts it must be practiced.
  16. Good advice for all of us to follow when we're not sure how it will turn out. I can't add to what has been said before, except...Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece of art with us. Truly a treasure to be passed down to the next generation.
  17. Sister sites? How do I find these sites?
  18. I have a kit from hidecrafters. I could trace it out and send it to you via snail mail.
  19. Sounds cool Clay. I hope to attend. Here is a link for the fair dates. http://www.centralstatesfair.com/
  20. Deb...Looks awesome. I love that design, but for me it would be wall mounted. UK.... I have been thinking of what I want. My space is small and I have decided to get a bowl blank for woodturning. Drill my holes in the top and mount it on a lazy susan. I haven't decided on the diameter yet.
  21. 1st off, I'm pretty new to leather myself. I do however think they look great. Practice will make you better, mechanically and creatively. You will learn your own style this way. Again, they look great to me.
  22. Pretty simple for me. I needed a new wallet. My m&fil told me about leathercraft. They had a few tools, all I had to do was order a kit for my wallet. Its more of a winter hobby for me. Now, boys are getting old enough to try their hands with it. Its a great way to spend an evening.
