Wrestling match- which machine is Best
Louiesdad replied to jrprottas's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
As above man stated 1508 is middle of range then 441. Google the full machine model numbers and various deals will pop up having them. Get the range of prices from the dealers and you have a basis for a starting point. Search both craigslist and ebay they pop up every now and then. Have a local service person ready to service it when it arrives. Know what you will pay and jump when one shows up, be ready to make minor repairs and be aware these machines are expensive to buy parts for, some taking 4-5 weeks to arrive from japan. So just bite the bullet when a part is missing and needed, when you sell it will pay you back. -
Sale pending just awaiting funds transfer. thanks

Trading, buying, selling: need advice on my next machine
Louiesdad replied to ensitmike's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
You might want to look up the local traveling repair men/women, pay an hour of their time, then ask them for leads on used equipment for sale, that they service, you will save $$$ and get good advice. -

Wrestling match- which machine is Best

Try to go to a Juki dealer and let them show you the differences between the "real deals" and clones....the side by side differences will amaze you. Buy used if necessary to get the machine(s) needed, and remember the "real deals" rarely if ever wear out.... -
I have used this motor for about 1 hr and I have to go to another model with the NPS controller sensor setup motor or I would keep it, so I am selling at a large loss. One Complete Premium 550 watt 110 volt servo motor, all cables, pedal linkaqe, and factory onoff switches. Plus a couple of extra wire ties (tell me how many up to 5). Normal cost $120 + $ 35 shipping total $155 so I figure $90 shipped to your door FedEx ground in Cont USA is a bargain. Outside US contact for shipping cost. going on ebay Fri 10/25

I am looking to get some touch up paint for a JUKI TSC441U in the US. Anyone know where I could buy matching paint , light tan/beige model. Thanks
-
I could take a pic of back of machine showing how I had to modify the KB205 if anyone wants to see it.
-
I used a KB205 bracket, modified the top to move it higher and turned it around while mounting and using a KG967 on a real Juki TSC 441U. Then designed and machined my extended lift lever. All as solid as an OEM factory option and work great.

MAKING PARTS FOR OUR TOOLS... JUKI 441 LIFT HANDLE EXTENSION
Louiesdad replied to Louiesdad's topic in Leather Tools
Already done by another vendor, great products, excellent pricing, and fast shipping also. Trying to get them to make smooth face feed dogs or I might try modifying current offering to smooth, using Devcon Titanium. -
MAKING PARTS FOR OUR TOOLS... JUKI 441 LIFT HANDLE EXTENSION
Louiesdad replied to Louiesdad's topic in Leather Tools
Everything is hung parallel and aligned with the rest of OEM equipment. I am having the cnc program written for making these, if anyone is interested in them. Solid all steel, no moving parts, Juki OEM parts swap into new location holes. Takes maybe max 2 mins to install.... -

I looked over what was available to use as a presser foot lift handle, when the pro KwokHing guides were installed on a Juki TSC 441U (prob work with clones too) and decided to design and make a prototype. It is made to better than OEM specs using all the existing OEM parts, metric threading fasteners, and tooling. Looks right at home by just changing over the parts (set screws and handle) and installing on the machine. more pics

WHERE on the table do I want my machine?
Louiesdad replied to kevinkay's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
-You could also glue 1/2 inch plywood to bottom, but I would "think" hard about using it though because of the single -middle side legs- 4 corners would be much better. -
This process works very well on just about anything with moving steel against steel parts. Get a can of Kriol and oil it down with it, run it for 5 mins day one. Then it spray down w wd-40 let sit 48 hrs. Again oil with kroil and run for 30 mins, spray down with wd40. Oil it with Kroil then allow the Kriol to penetrate for 3-4 days and you could brush shafts with ss brushes and respray with wd40. Sand shafts with 1500 paper. After 4-5 rounds it will be as good as new and have oil penetrated into all the moving surfaces. Put it in the hot sun or oven and it will free up quicker as the steel expands and contracts. Repeat above with white sewing machine oil 2 times and it will be 100% serviceable and the time and tune it up. When I was looking for 205-370 I found Aliexpress had good pricing on parts and KH had the guides, plates, feet for them at great pricing. Weaver had the parts also.

Kwok Hing guides, brackets, and sewing supplies are sold direct thru this website. KHsew.com is up and working, prices are GREAT, and takes orders/bills via Paypal. Ships very quickly takes 7-10 days for delivery. ALIEXPRESS.COM also has many of the clone sewing machines, FOR VERY REASONABLE PRICES. IE actual Cowboy 3200 $1440 ect...

Help finding dealer and narrowing down choices
Louiesdad replied to dreamsicle23's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Try calling Central Penn Sewing they are close just ask for Mike he can walk you thru clone vrs real deal, plus has used and rebuilt machines available. So does Cowboy Bob, he is in OH and has a used 441 205370 OEM model he offered me. I called all over US and CA for a machine and found several in like new/ used cond. Compared clones vrs OEM machines had offers deals on 3 oem machines. Then I got a very low hour OEM Juki shipped in, went over it with fine tooth come, replaced a few minor OEM parts and it is running like a top for 30-35% of cost new. Take your time, know the market pricing, and jump when the right offer shows up. Check Ebay craigslist and google used commercial sewing machines, make the calls and ask the questions. Get real clear pics of everything and expect to clean or make little repairs or replace minor stuff. The more you know the more you will save. Talk to every dealer you want to call tell them what you are doing and ask for recommendation then ask if they have used models in stock. The more time you spend looking and pricing the better you will be able to make a fair offer to both you and the seller of the machine.
