  1. Thank you for the kind words. I hope so it is more for our grandkids and beyond. Might start a tradition. Thank you, the font scared me when I first saw it. The thin lines had me timid.
  2. Understood, New way of writing in code, cursive they won't be able to read it.
  3. Surprised to see another Fountain Pen enthusiast, it is good times with the inks and pens.
  4. Thank you, it is a Kaweco, Brass Sport with EF nib. I prefer Japanese pens over Western, the nibs are finer. Got it on Amazon 43 dollars.
  5. Thank you. A journal is more personal thoughts you might not want viewed by others. This is written with the view of it being shared.
  6. Made a post on another page and a person mentioned "Quote Book". Had to look up what it was, a book for recording memories and events. This way as you get older you can look back in it, plus your kids would have a way of remembering you and sharing with theirs. The notebooks came today, a cover was needed to make it special. Spent the afternoon making it. Have hammered the stitches yet, will do it.
  7. Thank you, yes I changed from snaps to magnets. Holds strong and is easier to open and close. Thank you, Fountain Pens write better to me than ball points. My Kaweco Brass Sport is my carry pen, through it in my pocket with wallet and dings and tarnish add to it. Plus my Pilot 912 with flex nib and aftermarket feed is fun for line variation. Does flow the ink now.
  8. Finished the bag, spent a lot of time on it.
  9. Thank you, your welcome. Loved Hogan's Heroes.
  10. Thank you, they are from the fonts in photoshop. Any word processer should have a variety of fonts. I think google has one. What has help me is working my patterns in photoshop then printing them on vellum sheets. They can be found at office max. I will case my leather then wrap it in cling wrap and tape it on the back to both seal and make it taught on the front. Place the vellum on top of the cling wrapped leather and use a fine point pen to trace over the lines. For me it is more natural and since the leather is sealed there is no hurry as the leather won't dry out nor will the vellum become soggy. Chased a squirrel there. Thank you, it is hard to wrap around text and join up on the other side. First time for me and if you look below the o in Porch there are some adjustments to line it up again. Yes Sir it can be challenging.
  11. Made a bum bag for air rifle Field Target, at the match a person looked it over and wanted one. He mentioned that the Europeans have their names on them. Well we put his name on with a western flair.
  12. That is cool reusing the lead, my backstop is tires filled with dirt stacked up with a 12 x 12 trap rated for 9mm in front. Wife put the nix on shooting indoors.
  13. Thank you, I am shooting competitive Field Target, a game where we shoot targets as close as 10 yards with a 1/8 kill zone to 55 with a minimum 1 1/2 kill zone. At unknown ranges, my class you can use the scopes parallax to range find. Yes they are, and was very blessed. Thank you he had good taste and he dove in when he liked something. They are great for teaching gun safety and marksmanship. I am very lucky there are 3 field target clubs in North Carolina. Along with 2 time National Champion, keeps you humble. Thank you, yes they have. Didn't know they were this good three years ago. They cost up front, then cheap to shoot after. In tournament season shoot on average 800 pellets a week. Have an 85 yard range in my front yard. Doesn't bother the neighbors as it is so quiet. My best group at 50 yards, 5 shots.
  14. Decided to pull out the springer I got from a dear friend who was getting rid of things preparing for his passing. Setting it up adding a cheek riser and pellet pouch made for fun. Tuning kit coming in Monday along with parts needed to make a hamster. Looking at shooting it the rest of the year in memory of him. People like him only come a few times in a lifetime. The stock wrap is 5-6 oz. outer and 12 oz. piece on top under the outer shaved on the sides. Fit great allowing me a good cheek weld.

    Pellet Pouch

Thank you, growing up in the 60's and 70's had its perks. Thank you Appreciate the kind words. Thank you, feel like him when missing a target. Thank you Thank you, a little humor helps. It is really challenging. First match I shot in 2020, was paired up with the National Champion (Philip Hepler). Real nice guy and he gave me some good pointers. Blessed to have him to gauge my progress off of. It is worn around the neck hanging slightly below my boobies. Can be worn on the belt if a belt clip installed. Had one on my test one. It is wet formed and an inch wide, can get my fingers in to pick a pellet no problem. It is a bit deep if the pellets get low, you have to tilt the pouch so the pellets are in the corner no biggie. The magnetic closures for me are one of the nicest things. Easy to open and stays closed and out of the way, and easy to maintain. this is my second one, used my first as a testbed for improvements. Like it more than I thought. It makes it much easier when shooting a lane (hunter class). If you want can give dimensions.

    Pellet Pouch

I shoot Field Target and wanted a pellet pouch. Made mine with a tooled veg outer, and Russet Harness lining. Used magnetic closures for ease of use.
  19. Sewed with my cylinder arm and is very finicky for angle a little tilted and it will shift even though the top is on the groove. Having to improve that area.
  20. Finished one of the two, both will be the same.
  21. It is easy to adjust, don't feel like messing with bobbin tension for one project.
  22. You are right tried class 4 with top tensions loosened up. Probably will sew on flatbed to solve problem. Thank you
