  1. Try an oil sprayer, and there are spray cans of cooking oil that do not have silicone in them. We have had oil sprayers for cooking, honestly not fond of them, also saw someplace some water in with the oil helps breakup the spray pattern so it is more even. Experiment with sprayers (even try sprayers used for misting plants, or spraying cleaner) on paper or cardboard, see the pattern. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=oil+sprayer+for+cooking&crid=1AAB87KJ7GXUH&sprefix=oil+spra%2Caps%2C117&ref=nb_sb_ss_w_hit-vc-lth_oil-sprayer-for-cooking_k0_1_8
  2. Not much help I know, but I assume you search the used book sites every few days? Goodwill online? Seaching by ISBN would probably be quicker, if it has one (may not). You have probably seeked out any boot maker and cordwain forums. I wish you luck. There used to be a nation wide Craigslist search, don't know if it still exists, a retiring or estate of a maker may have one.

    Pride stuff!

Not even remotely appropriate to work being presented. Or anything else relating to leather or craftsmanship. I have to stop here or I will type something ungodly that I will regret.
  4. Smaller pieces like a belt end, try a japanese plane, they are set up to pull.

  7. Received this email (I am on their mailing list) We're delighted to introduce our latest innovation, the DULL Paint We would like to inform you that our colored Dense edge paint will no longer be available for purchase in our Eshop due to upcoming international regulations. To avoid issues in shipping, we have decided to stop the sale of this product but replace it with Dull. I would like to make it clear that the lower price of the DULL does not reflect a lower quality. On the contrary, it is due to the fact that the DULL is a 100% Giardini Group product, allowing us to optimize production costs and offer you a more advantageous price without compromising quality. To celebrate this transition and express our gratitude for your continued support, we're offering an exclusive 30% discount on all orders placed through our online shop until the end of August! Thank you for entrusting Giardini Group with your painting needs. We're excited to introduce you to our latest solution, the DULL Paint
  8. excellent idea, like bow ties in wood working
  9. These are small, low power, variable speed. Safer? Tough call, but you can slow it way down so it wont be as violent. But perhaps quicker than by hand.. https://www.amazon.com/OPAVIOC-Jewelry-Polisher-Adjustable-Polishing/dp/B09MNB2VJH/ref=asc_df_B09MNB2VJH?tag=bngsmtphsnus-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=80676783972125&hvnetw=s&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4584276312388278&psc=1 Wet/dry "sandpaper" here is an inexpensive pack with the finer grits you will not find at a big box store. Automotive finishes stores have finer grits, parts stores have some https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JJ39YX8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

  11. @SUP Just saw this thought it might provide some insight
  12. Does anyone other than me wonder if this post is a legit inquiry?
  13. The bearing on the shaft looks fine it the pic. just behind the the little protruding screw that the notch in wheel fits over. Did you fit the wheel notch over that?
  14. I would guess larger wheels are the key, this may give you some ideas... https://duckduckgo.com/?q=off+road+dolly&t=brave&ia=web
  15. I am sorry, I do not understand the problem, not do I see any screws. A wild guess, yes there is a notch that fits over the protrusion on the shaft, then the roller to the left must fit in the groove on the back of the wheel, as does the roller on the shiny bar above, that is what drives the machine. If you already know this, please forgive me, I am not trying to be snarky, I just do not understand your question.
  16. Should there be a pocket (or two, or a couple of straps) for the tabs to go into? Or, glue as suggested, then glue +/or stitch a thin leather piece (match or contrast, or a lining of some sort) over where the flaps are glued to cover that area, and it would as suggested above, create another pocket at each end.
  17. I putter at it. Years ago I had a radial arm saw when I built decks. gave it away. the things scare me! I have large contractor grade table saw, but I wish I had invested in a decent size band saw instead. I think, track saws and a good band saw is the way to go if you have limited space, which is my situation, too much stuff. I have a bench top sears, I like the thing, but... Also have lathes. Love going to woodworking shows. Call me a wannabe woodworker, and purchaser of woodworking stuff.
  18. Please don't be offended, I am sure you did this, but .... good magnifing glass, perhaps its a allen, just a very tiny indent? I had one, don't recall why, but I used a very small grub screw, it was harder than the belt tip, so by carefully screwing it in, it cut its own threads out of the slightly smaller threads of the tip.
  19. Nice woodwork. Band saw? Lots of sanding? and maybe a large forstner bit?
  20. A lot of work, and they look pretty darn good. Very substantial. When you tell someone you made them they will look at you with that dropped jaw stunned look, "YOU MADE THOSE?". That will feel pretty good.
  21. Ragweed Forge great store, I have a few Mora knives from them.

  24. Maybe you can find someone in your area. https://www.americanbladesmith.org/
  25. The wood on the one with the long split, most likely has shrunk, and or when it was made the blade was a bit snug and stress finally cracked it. Not much a bladesmith can do to restore wood back to whole. When woodworkers encounter splits, and they want to use that piece of wood, epoxy or CA, very dark brown or black to blend as good as they can, or color to add accent. It is possible, with the split one, someone forced the blade in an split it. If it is loose enough to take off, you could try some wood glue, and clamp it back closed, see if it works, then carefully fit the blade back it. TAPE the blades edges!!! But I am sure you would do that anyway
