Hello, I bought my Cobra Class 26 3 week ago (NEW). It´s really nice machine, and I like it a lot. But I have problems with servo motor and controlling the sewing speed. When i set speed on for example 15. I cannot sew slowly. When I press foot pedal, just a little bit it, sews immediately fast. And when i set speed on 5, it sews slow, but sometime accelerates for few stitches (like on number 10), and than slow again. But my foot pedal is still. Maybe you have some suggestions what can i do? I tried a lot, but probably not everything. Thanks a lot and have a nice day

I am selling my Cobra Class 4-P. I bought it just under a year ago. Other things have caught my attention and I hardly use it now. It has less then 48 hours of work put on this Great machine. I really don't want to get rid of it, but for the last two or three months I have not used it. Slow business and other hobbies are the reason I'm selling it. I am located in Daleville, Alabama. About 25 minutes west of Dothan. I would prefer the buyer to pick this machine up. I will drive up to an hour. As of right now, I'm not shipping it. I'm asking $2,600. $2,500 if you come pick it up. I have attached the Craigslist posting here> http://dothan.craigslist.org/for/5815551328.html

I will be teaching SADDLE CONSTRUCTION design and patterning, using concepts that can be applied to other areas of construction--- including holsters, knife sheaths, saddle bags, rifle scabbards, and various cases. There are only a few seats left for both classes; however there are several openings for just the first day. Day 1 is Lecture and Demonstration. I will teach you how to take a sketch of your concept / idea and translate it to a functional design, and then to usable patterns. If you can only attend the first day, you will still go away with all of the hand-outs, notes, and a plan and method. You should be able to go home and create your own patterns after only taking this class. Day 2 is Application---I will help you make your own patterns for your own tree. You will go home with patterns! Call me with questions. 307-272-1881. http://www.leathercraftersjournal.com/product.cfm?product=851 http://www.leathercraftersjournal.com/product.cfm?product=852

Hi fellow Leather Crafters! I live in Los Angeles and since this is a major fashion hub I am thinking of starting a leather craft school. I have a passion for teaching and obviously for leather craft, but was wondering if anyone has experience on whether this is profitable and feasible? I'm thinking that because of my location, I can do it but looking for feedback or experience from those have done this or are currently offering classes. Thoughts?

We are very excited to bring the age-old craft of leatherworking to NextFab. This introductory workshop will expose participants to a variety of basic leatherworking tools and techniques and give them a solid base for further exploration of this craft. The first session of this workshop will primarily deal with leather preparation, tooling, lacing, and finishing through brief lectures and demonstrations. In the second session partcipants will be able to choose and complete one of two leather projects from start to finish and take home what they create. Participants in this workshop will learn a variety of techniques including: pattern transfer, pattern carving and pattern stamping. After the demo portion of the class, class members will have the opportunity to try their hand at carving, stamping, stitching, and finishing by completing either a traditional coin purse or money clip project. The coin purse project features a simple yet classic flower design on the back of the piece that will be brought to life with the carving and stamping techniques learned in class. It also features a traditional whip-stitch patten around the perimeter of the piece and a custom monogram on the front of the piece. All in all, students who choose this project will walk away from the workshop with a personalized, stylish, and fully functional coin purse that securely snaps closed to keep coins in place. The money clip project features a more complex vine and flower design on the front of the piece that will have quite a bit of depth and visual interest after carving and stamping. In addition, this project calls for a classic straight stitch around the perimeter of the piece. All in all, students who choose this project will walk away from the workshop with an attractive money clip that utilizes magnets to keep bills secure. This workshop will run 3-4 hours in total. The first hour will be dedicated to discussing the carving and stamping tools included in the leather working kits with short follow-along demos. The following 2-3 hours will be dedicated to completing one of the featured projects. When the workshop is complete, students will get to keep their leather working kits from the class, and will have the opportunity to complete 3 other projects included in the kit at home. Purchase tickets HERE.
