Hello, I am new to this forum and very excited! I create custom browbands for horses, but due to Brexit, I've had to start looking for new suppliers again. The quality of the leather is very important to me, as well as the delivery timeframe. So I am wondering if any of you know where I can find empty channel, color or non color padded browbands, ready to use. I've alreday found http://www.horsefashionshop.de/ (do not like the leather quality as it seems very hard and painted) and https://www.kkressing.boutique/stirnriemen-rohlinge/ (very nice leather work and great quality, but not much on stock,...) . Any of you familiar with this and could help me out? Thank you so much!!!

Hi everyone, I'm a 24 year old girl from Austria/Europe and started playing around with leather a year ago! My resent project was a bosal - made with the book and supplies from Gail Hought, material was kangaroo leather. I'm somewhat satisfied with the result und would like to continue learning braiding bosals, preferably I would like to stick to kangaroo for a while as I've found I was confident with braiding with it. However, I have no idea where to get supplies here in Europe. I would also need some rawhide to build the inner core. For all other projects where I only needed some skirting leather, I've ordered from "SoftArtLeder" https://www.softart-leder-shop.de/btc/ but they do only carry one color of kangaroo (black). Where do you European guys order your bosal supply? Do you think I can start with some other leather types provided by SoftArtLeder for the beginning? Any tip is highly appreciated!! With best regards, Christina

Hi all, I will start this topic cause almost all the links in my old post here got broken. Sorry for that, I probably do have some fault in that but still don't know how that happened. Also I want to say I am sorry I just had no time to post here more often. Had some big orders this year and still I am trying to catch up with it all. I am also expanding my workshop and opening additional arts and crafts studio. It should have been done at March but the workshop is constantly busy so I am forced to delay the whole thing couple more weeks. Will post some pics as soon as I do move... Ok, and here are some pics of my work... Btw. all of you that have seen them do not hate me please, I just want to have a topic here with no broken links and 8 pages of nothing... Thanx for understanding Big size side bags - based on WW2 side bags from some old BMW motorcycle, or so I have been told... I did promise to make more videos and I will, as soon as get my workshop in shape... Here is a short one you have already seen... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuWgs5ud4Mk&feature=youtu.be

Good Evening all, I am completely new to leather and have just been buying whole and part hides off eBay in order to get to know leather and practice working with it. I've been paying about £80 per hide, chrome tanned. I now know what I want (I think) but I don't really know where to buy. I ideally want a supplier in Spain as that is where I will need it shipped. I'm looking for full grain veg tan around 2mm thick. I have been in touch with Tandy which are based in Spain for their Europe outfit so that's perfect for shipping costs, however, their range seems limited and for the money they are asking, I don't want to part cash if there is a greater option out there which I'm sure there is and hoping one of you can help. Your help is greatly appreciated. In case someone has some advice, the leather is for tote style bags and similar. The handles are to be made from 2.8-3.2mm veg tanned Spanish shoulder single thickness. So if anyone has any other suggestions for types of leather for the bags, I would love to hear them. Many thanks.

Hi! So ive been at this for 10 years. Ive got my Facebook Mikki House page and ive got over 700 followers. I just cant decide on how much to charge. My customers are mucicians. Im expanding my product line to tobacco pouches and Rock Chick bags..(still not even drawn yet...So im going to show you a couple of picks and you all can comment on how much I could charge for these. I make unique straps and custom orderd straps. I usually charge 150euros for someone who orders something speciffic from me. Other wise they cost about 100e. Im not even going to talk about the time spent :)...If you feel, id appriciate some guidelines. thanks!

Hi! I just finished a new belt. Its ornaments came from central europe (Ac. 700-1000) The hunnis, magyar, warriors and nobles (woman and men too) wore belts, like this. (with more additional ornaments) I hope you like it. I hope soon i can start the helmet project.

I have 9 bottles of Tandy-Fenice leather edge paint for sale - ideally to a fellow leatherworker in Europe, as I am located in Brussels, Belgium. The 9 colors I have are: Navy Blue, Green, Yellow, Red, Neutral (clearcoat, basically), White, Black, Dark Brown, and Light Brown. I bought these just a couple of months ago in October and November from Rickert Werkzeuge where they sell for €29.95 each. In this photo album, you'll see the paints themselves, and I am also including the two projects I completed with these paints - a phone case with orange edges and a black stingray handbag. Other than a tablespoon of the yellow and red and about 20% of the black, the rest of the paints were not used any more than on a sample piece. I am selling them because I am moving back to the US (didn't know that when I bought them all!), and filling my suitcase with these 9 bottles of leather edge paint isn't really an option! I'm not expecting to get back what I paid for them (which is/was ~€300), so if you're interested, just make an offer and let me know your location to calculate the shipping costs! Thank you! - RF

I'm looking for suggestions from some of the European members here om LW. I'm looking to have some clicking dies made (my very first) and I'm looking for some good (foremost) and hopefully fairly prices dies from a European or UK maker. Normally I wouldn't mind buying from the US, where I've heard of some good makers (including Texas Custom Dies), but the exchange rate is terrible, so I'm looking for someone closer to home. I have a maker on hand, where I live, but I would like to get some quotes from different manufacturers, as I'm about to place a very substantial order.

Hi guys, I just got a quote for a Consew 206RB-5 with silent servo motor from a UK supplier for £1,950.00 plus vat. That's over $3200 with tax... Seems pretty steep compared to US prices. Does anyone have any experience purchasing equipment in the UK? The supplier is www.anglosewing.co.uk. Are such high prices normal for England? At that price I would be better off buying one here and putting it in a shipping container, but I'd rather work with a local dealer and avoid the hassle of shipping overseas. Thanks!
