beautiful work and a really nice design!! how wide is the shoulder piece?

Worked in a prison for 30 years if I aint shiny every time I comment its no big deal, I just don't wave pompoms.

I like these. I made a very simple one for a timber cruiser that wanted to pack a 30/30. 1" 8/9 oz HO with a 2" pad of 5/6 HO. Not quite what you have, but, thanks for the inspiration! 

Not so retired RN. Living on the Washington Peninsula.

Gary, as a rifle or 4 owner I have to Say I say I apreciate the fact you are using a strap on one end that is not connected to the shoulder piece, why?   That strap is a week point. The fold around the attachment hardware is a spot that can and will split 

by making it separate you have made it easier to repair, that is a good detail
