very cool!!  thats an old motor.

Worked in a prison for 30 years if I aint shiny every time I comment its no big deal, I just don't wave pompoms.

I have about $50 in this one. I bought the motor, a dual shaft Emerson Electric Manufacturing Company (God knows how old) for $10 at a garage sale. It had 2 Sears and Roebucks arbors on it, and several  wheels, buffing and wire. I ran an ad on next-door for wood turners and gave the man one of the arbors and he turned the the burnisher for a $40 donation to one of the local charities. Works great and is dang near silent! The point on the end is great for belt slots etc.. I made the mount. Don't have anything on the left due to space.

Both are neat solutions but Frodo's is obviously faster at burnishing because it's red!;)

I like your spindle Hags, going to see if I can come up with a different design on mine that is closer to what yours looks like
