Members SUP Posted February 11, 2024 Author Members Report Posted February 11, 2024 (edited) @Hags, @Cattleman You get slim wooden burnishers these days which work for belt slots. I got this off Amazon a few months ago. Edited February 11, 2024 by SUP Quote Learning is a life-long journey.

Members MarlinDave Posted February 11, 2024 Members Report Posted February 11, 2024 Cheap leather which looks fine till you finish the project and dye it and a big spot in the center wont take any dye. Quote
Contributing Member fredk Posted February 11, 2024 Contributing Member Report Posted February 11, 2024 Happens even on expensive leather. I made this Navigator's Board and when I dyed it a lot of wee dots appeared. Bug bites It was covered in these, bottom left, but only showed up after dyeing Quote Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..

I got mine from Amazon. Works good for patterns. JM2C, Jim I have used vinyl flooring for my patterns. I also used the boxes from Alpo Flavor Snacks that my dog really liked. Members Handstitched Posted February 12, 2024 Members Report Posted February 12, 2024 My pet peeve atm is that my 'ye ol'de pooter is getting long in the tooth not letting me go on my fave site, this one ,, it was working fine up until a week or so ago, but all of a sudden it stopped connecting to this site.....GRRRR!!! I cleared all the cache , deleted old files , cleared browser history, done all the usual, but nup !! so I'm using a public access computer in town . So I won't be posting as much as I used to, not until I get a new 'pooter'. That could take a while Don't bother replying as I I won't see it, unless you PM me, but I won't be able to reply to that, grrr!! I'll just have to bite the bullet, put on my pith helmet, grab my blunderbuss and go hunting for a new pooter. Members Sheilajeanne Posted February 12, 2024 Members Report Posted February 12, 2024 Makes me glad I replaced my computer before it totally stopped co-operating with me. It was just getting really slooooow. When I first logged in in the morning, it would take a good 4 or 5 minutes of refreshing the screen before it would actually connect with a website. Then it would be fine for the rest of the day. Quote
Members Hags Posted February 13, 2024 Members Report Posted February 13, 2024 I had to do a refresher program for work online. I've been using a pad for quite a while and only had a quite old laptop. My neighbor replaced the old drive with a solid state drive and I can't believe the difference. $125. New battery too. Quote Not so retired RN. Living on the Washington Peninsula.
