Tina Report post Posted April 12, 2008 Your seats is alway so clean and nice, I love them. Tell ya what, If I ever get a bike again I'll get one from you:-) Have a small question about your work...The 2 seats at the end, how do you get the coloring at the edges(black) to blend in so nicely with the rest? Hi Tina, Thanks for taking a look at the seats. With regard to the color blending, I have an old....no make that ancient....Paache double action airbrush, Model VL I believe. It does a nice job on the color fades. David Theobald http://theobaldleather.com
TomSwede Report post Posted April 12, 2008 They are so nice David! I can't decide wich one of the SPS I like the best and for good reason. Seeing them separately I would be convinced that one I'm currently looking at looks the best. Good thing I don't really have to choose because they all look great! David Report post Posted April 19, 2008 (edited) the seat edges were first sprayed either black or medium brown (Tandy pro dye) after that the entire seat was sprayed with buckskin dye. This was followed by Fiebings sheridan antiquing paste. The final coat was leather balm with atom wax.
