My father has been doing working beginning in the late 70s. Due to a health condition, and moving into a much smaller home, he is unable to do what he loved so much. I have hundreds of patterns, tools, and other supplies and have no idea what to do with them. There are patterns, tools, and leather hides, all in great condition. Any suggestions?

Take pictures of the items check for pricing and put them on the for sale forum here. and see what pops up. I am always looking for tool and other items as most are here. Or P>M me a personal message.

Agreed. I would be interested in all the things you have listed. Patterns, tools, and leather.

ebay would be an obvious choice for anything leftover. It's probably as close to a true market as you'll find. I love using old tools. I particular value tools that belonged to my father & grandfather (only a few remain) and have refurbished several, replacing lost & broken handles and sharpening blades - holding them & using them helps me to retain a connection to them. I would be interested in seeing what you have. Money is tight, retired, fixed income, but it never hurts to look. PM when you get a list. Thanks

Me too, message when you have a list. Ebay's fine, but you'll pay Ebay fees and Paypal fees on every transaction.

If you can list what you have I don't think you will have trouble getting rid of most of it. I would like to know what you have.

Have you thought about taking up your father's hobby. In my situation I found it relaxing, therapeutic, and a great escape. That's my suggestion for what it's worth. Your dad already did the hard part for you, the investment.
