Prolly is, if a guy was thinkin about something other than the topic.  I guess other people just use girls to carry bulky items. :dunno:

'Course, that makes good sense, actually.  Put 'em ta work, that's what I say.

LOTS of posts about ALD, not a single pic of some of it.  So, I'm a fan of both HO and W/C leathers, but also just ordered a couple different types from ALD -- tough to just go on taking someone's opinion without seeing it myself.

I’ve ordered a couple of sides from these people lately. I know it’s probably foreign tanned, but it’s been good leather and the price is right.

I shot them an email awhile back after reading a post that referenced their website.  I got a response back the same day, and they were very helpful and sent out a box of samples with a couple goodies and a personal note inside, got it a couple days later.  I am all for buying American, but I'm also all about supporting businesses that value customers, and treat people (regardless if i'm buying pallets of leather, or a few small pieces) the as such.  I like the quality of the samples i received and will give them a shot when the need arises.

Mexico is in North America.  MANY US hides are tanned in Mexico and returned.

And Argentina. They also cost half of what american tanned hides cost. I can't afford american tanned leather.

I tried ALD.  I would not do it again.
