Members pmieras2000 Posted January 15, 2018 Members Report Posted January 15, 2018 Had a little bit of 9oz veg tan left so I made a pancake style holster for my daughters 9mm. She wanted something unique. The holster is lined with 2-3oz veg tan and hand stitched... I was really worried about the wet forming so I took it easy and did most of the forming on the back to preserve the tooling. Turned out nicer than I expected. Sealed off the carving with super sheen, medium brown feibings for the main body and sheridan antique over the carving. Quote

Members Double Daddy Posted January 15, 2018 Members Report Posted January 15, 2018 Mighty fine craftsmanship...love the contrasting colors (dye and thread choices)...really works well together. Quote Have a great day! Chris

bikermutt07 Posted January 16, 2018 Report Posted January 16, 2018 I liked your technique for preserving the tooling. That is a constant topic on this site. I'll pass it along for future questions, if you don't mind. Holster looks great. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
