Members dikman Posted October 15, 2018 Members Report Posted October 15, 2018 I've no doubt that the sp-1100 is a good motor, but 1 1/2 hp seems a bit of overkill on the Consew. Members Pintodeluxe Posted October 15, 2018 Members Report Posted October 15, 2018 I like the 206rb-1's and rb-2's. Good dependable machines. They are quite easy to tune as well. Takes 135x16 needles. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted October 15, 2018 Report Posted October 15, 2018 I have only been playing with my RB-1, but it is handling 207 thread just fine. It may be pushing the range but I don't think so... @CowboyBob has the rb-5 's listed to take 207 on his site. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. Members myjtp Posted October 16, 2018 Author Members Report Posted October 16, 2018 Umm... i'm so glad I watched this youtube video The oil case at the bottom was BONE DRY! thank goodness i haven't run it yet because I was waiting for my servo to come in that's coming in tomorrow! So i just drenched the entire inside in oil any part i could see moving i oiled it down. I even check the top wick and it was bone dry so i filled it up with oil as well. Has anyone replaced the grease in their Consew 206 yet? Im thinking of checking mine what grease do you guys use? Quote
garypl Posted October 16, 2018 Report Posted October 16, 2018 I replaced the grease in my 206RB-4 - used wheel bearing grease because that’s what I had on hand. Gary Quote Cowboy 4500, Consew 206RB-4

Members R8R Posted October 16, 2018 Members Report Posted October 16, 2018 Synco Super-Lube. Only grease I used on all the big machines I maintained when I worked in screen printing. We had zero problems with lubrication failures. Quote

When you use #207 in the needle be sure to put #138 in the bobbin.Or you'll never get the bobbin thread to pull up. I definitely agree with this...the adler will sew #207 top just fine, but will not pull it up consistently...#207 top and #138 bottom makes a beautiful stitch and for belts, sheaths or other light duty items is plenty strong.
