plinkercases Report post Posted January 3, 2019 I just could not bring myself to pay 60 plus buck for a real glue pot as i am not at the bench enough these days.... so after a few combinations of bits and pieces i ended up with a 11 dollar dog kong and 4 dollar walmart spice jar. Bingo. Seals fantastic.

ScoobyNewbie Report post Posted January 4, 2019 (edited) The Kong comes in colors... oooo! Pier 1 and world market have cool bottles that are squatty or pyramidal! Less tippy! Edited January 4, 2019 by ScoobyNewbie

LatigoAmigo Report post Posted January 4, 2019 This is available for less than $20 (including shipping) from Amazon. It is a Best-Test Plastic Cement Dispenser. I have been very happy with it.
bikermutt07 Report post Posted January 4, 2019 One of the wood working supply places had the gravity style dispensers for like 12 bucks awhile back. But, I can't remember which one.

alpha2 Report post Posted January 4, 2019 Nice idea. Not sure what the effect would be of my dog seeing her favorite toy stuck in a glue pot, though! That Kong is the ONLY toy she hasn't destroyed. Yet. Jeff
plinkercases Report post Posted January 4, 2019 (edited) Latigo i will have a look but amazon canada did not provide many results and it is getting harder and harder for us Canuks to order from Amazon US Update... that very bottle on amazon ca is 107-125 dollars Canadian before shipping taxes duty and our now famous Boarder handling charges... i still with a kong in a spice jar... kgg Report post Posted January 4, 2019 I like your glue pot, simple and effective. All you need to do now is get the cost of the top down. Wow what a difference between the Amazon US and Canadian sites for the same simple item. That is why some of us Canadians who live close to the border (1/2 hour drive) have a American address for companies who won't ship to Canada and for companies who offer free shipping within the US. It wouldn't be feasible for one small purchase but on the larger or multi items it can save you a lot. kgg

Wow, this is the result of trade negotiations? Sounds like a lose-lose result, with dog bones stuck in glue pots (great idea, btw!). 1 hour ago, alpha2 said: Not sure what the effect would be of my dog seeing her favorite toy stuck in a glue pot, though! Perhaps just get one of those rubber stoppers with a hole in the center instead? Pretty cheap on Amazon also, could probably find one at your local hardware store...
