Omw! You're kidding :) ... u're an absolute genius!

Especially your way of cutting the thin strips. I love it and am sure gonna try it out.

Btw, any tips you might have for how to cut soft nubuck leather into thin lace maybe? I've tried doing it on the Tandy table top cutter but not (yet) 100% happy with the consistency of the width of the strips. And the lace cutter I'm really struggling with way too much - it'll make me climb out the walls ....

So yes, your/any advice would really !! be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Thanks, unfortunately i have never tried with nubuk, maybe with a really sharp knife it could be possible, but looks difficult.

Hi

You're welcome :)

Thanks so much for getting back to me,  I appreciate it.

I'll do as you've suggested. I've actually made a jig similar to the one you've shown, I only replaced the nails with 2 chopsticks that's a bit longer so as to (hopefully) support the soft leather maybe a tad more? Fingers crossed it's gonna work with the nubuck ...

Kind regards & thx heaps again!

That looks so much easier than the way I was doing it with the tool where you cut a hole in the leather and work from the centre out. Also looks like I could use this with smaller offcuts for short lengths of lace.
