CindyCLewis Report post Posted February 1, 2021 Started out nice today but had a mix of rain and snow, so I decided to make another holster. It is drying, then I will dye it. I am happy with it.

AzShooter Report post Posted February 10, 2021 I like it but how do you mount it to a belt?
Lawman145 Report post Posted February 13, 2021 I like it a lot, great way to spend a day inside. You gotta show the finished product.
CindyCLewis Report post Posted February 18, 2021 I didn't make it for a belt, but if I was going to make one for someone I would put a belt loop on it. I just never wear a belt. It turned out fair, for learning. Rides really well for a heavier gun. I wore it while riding a colt the other day and shoulder never got tired. CindyCLewis Report post Posted February 19, 2021 when I sow it together i dont use glue, makes it easier for me to sow. Then i do the edges, however, the last holster i played with got some separation after i slicked it. Is there a way to avoid that.
YinTx Report post Posted February 19, 2021 Adhesive usually helps prevent separation when you slick the edges. Not much else going to keep leather stuck together as far as I know. YinTx

I use glue, but alternately I have seen people sew (relatively close to edges) and then use an edge coating. Course, the separation will still be there, the coating is just that.. a covering. Bert03241 Report post Posted February 20, 2021 I always glue makes for a much stronger seem. I hand sew.
