  2. You may have a broken or disconnected wire going from the pedal box to the controller. The most likely location is at the connector where the pedal plugs into the controller. Check the continuity (using a multimeter) between the three wires that come out of the pedal box. (On my digital servo, there's about 1.2 mega ohms between any two of the three.) If unable to test continuity, at least visually inspect the individual wires from the pedal to the control box. Where the individual wires go into the connector on the back of the control box, make sure all the wires are connected. That is, none broken. Take the cover off the pedal box and make sure nothing is amiss inside. (Magnet still connected to moving arm) My $.02
  3. Top/Right of the bottom pic - Looks like if you set Parameter N.G. to "On" and turn the box off and back on, it restores the factory settings. No idea if it will help, but it can't hurt.
  4. Alzilla, It would be nice to reset it to factory but I do not see it in the meanual. Where do you see it in the photos ? thank you
  5. Weaver makes nice clicker dies as well. Reasonable priced too.
  6. You don't need a proper leather working awl but could use one of these pokey-hole tools They can be bought cheaply. Put your leather over a plastic cutting board and push the pokey-hole tool through
  7. See if there's an option to reset it to factory settings. One one of mine I recently noticed an option to hold down two buttons for so many seconds to reset the box. That's all I've got. EDIT: Actually there's an option for it right there at the top of the 2nd pic.
  8. So, I turned on the machine today and I keep getting an error, Er 4, on my controller unit. THe machine won't run. I hav eto sew something for a show next weekend and am trying to find the fastest fix. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. I don't understand the manual. From the controller manual, E4 means the board needs to be replaced. But a few lines below it says E4 is the pedal. I get the message even if the pedal is not connected. Anyone knows what can be going on? I emailed and called the store but it is Saturday so no luck. Is a controller board supposed to fail so soon? Should I expect this to be replaced under warranty? I am not even sure what the warranty is on this machine.

  10. Oh yeah, it'll be harder to sew. But it's fairly thin leather. You could pre-punch the holes with an awl
  11. If you go to google . . . search video: concho belt you can watch videos for the next several hours May God bless, Dwight
  12. Its not quite as bad as that....you can still have handguns if you are a member of a shooting club. Roger
  13. Thank you both for your help. Will definitely give hotter water a try. I've only used plain tap water that was fairly cold. Will hotter water make it harder to sew? I'm only making about 4 pairs of holes near the fold so I'm just brute forcing a sewing needle through. Will I need to pre-punch the holes before using the hot water? The idea of giving my little duckies "armored" beaks is a hoot and will make for a great 'story' for them.
  14. Good lookin work . . . but how in the world did you manage to hang on to a 1911 when your government played bad boy and burned all the guns??? May God bless, Dwight

  19. I made some pouches for some mates in the Big Game Rifle Club..... I use girth elastic to hold the rounds, some are spaced for double rifles and the pic of the cases gives you an idea of the sizes... Roger
  20. Thanks for that; gotta' track some of those down. Larry
  21. Did you see the add at the top for Ohio Clicker Dies?
  22. My boss likes to break needles off at the top. Took me a while to figure out the problem until I realized that the top of the broken needle was stuck inside of the needle holder not allowing the new needles to set correctly (too long). Check to be you don't have a broken needle inside the carrier.
  23. Those are Chicago Screws the work out very nice.
  24. Final offer $2500.

  26. The feed mechanism is not really super great when it comes to thick stuff, so in addition to setting the adjustment on the back to H like @CowboyBob says, it also helps a lot to push/pull gently to help the object through. It also depends on how much pressure you keep on your presser foot, if it is pushing hard, and there is a lot of friction between the leather and the sewing machine, it can be hard to move just by the feed mechanism alone. I'd say 8 mm is a good figure, you can go a bit thicker, but not always with great success. In my view it is a fantastic machine, but again, my work is mainly repair job, and it is really great at that. Brgds Jonas
  27. I need only a few, simple clicker dies. I would like to get dies made and sold by US companies. Where should I look for good quality dies at reasonable prices? Also looking for a 4-ton clicker press. Any suggestions? Nick
