  2. the second spring might be for the P in your clpmn coding. that stands for. Four-motion drop feed but i think we have the same base model machine for the rest.
  3. thanks everybody for your knowledge. ill go see what the problem is with the needles in the coming days. im curious now 😆 these came with the machine. and i think the left ones are these ones so im figuring its set up with the 134-35 needles as you guys been telling me. and the 100/16 size is that right for the threads i wanna sew with it ? sorry if my questions are stupid. the internet teaches me allot but gotta say not all the info is always right it seems 😂
  4. That's some good looking work . . . Most of us would like to see them being "modeled" . . . I for sure would May God bless, Dwight
  5. thanks for the info. i havent been to my storage unit to compare the needles that are in it and with it. the ones in the picture came with the machine. and the ones i mentioned i bought online according to the specs of the machine. so wil see whats what.
  6. thanks. any info is always welcome. and yeah they have a great reputation in the upholstery world so im happy with this machine. the stamping is wonky for sure XD
  7. I believe not, according to user manual, but I can be wrong That makes sens. I intend to use 20 (tex 135) top and 30 (tex 90) bobbin, with a 120 needle. I suppose I'll have to get a new bobbin case for it... I'll give that a try !
  8. Thread underneath the base(on the left) instead on going between it.
  9. There were rougly 10 different hooks for the 545, depending on thread thickness etc. Your hook/machine is set up for very thin thread (likely textile garment production), so no open notch. Likely max. NM 100 thread. Good thing: You could still get parts and adjust the 545. What thread are you intending to use?
  10. Is it maybe supposed to come out over to the right, at the 5:00 position and ride over that tab?
  11. Hello All, I recently had the opportunity to get a Pfaff 545 : And I am experiencing an issue with tension : There isn't any notch neither in bobbin case top, neither in bobbin case base as it normally should (circled in red below, sorry blurry pic). As a consequence, thread is pinched hard while sewing, and pulling the needle thread to the bottom of my work, no matter how I try to set upper tension or bobbin tension. Have any of you having this machine, a similar problem and how did you deal with it ?
  12. Now those gauntlets are finished. Those dragon motives continue on those arm pieces. So they all match together nicely. It was exiting journey, learned some new things Here are crafting video as well:
  13. My Pfaff 545 H2 also came with 134-35 needles, depiste the fact that is should use 134 needels according to Pfaff standards. It has probably been modified to run with with 134-35 needles at some point in it's previous life and I keep it this way
  14. 2026 is approaching, i do hope the universe is kind to all of us throughout. I'm 'hibernating ' inside in the cool as its so damn hot outside, and will be for whole week, thank God for beer 🍺 Have a safe and Happy New Year HS
  15. Very beautifully made 👌
  16. @chuck123wapati I use a spray bottle, it administers just the right amount of moisture, the leather stays moist enough throughout, but it did take practice to get it right. I did try using a sponge in the early days, but my carelessness caused the sponge to have a lil' spot of dye that ended up as a smudge on the leather HS
  17. I use kangaroo leather, the hides are around .8mm thick. I don't bother skiving . I make those wallets with and without a flap . A some of the wallets people show me at the markets have just about everything but the kitchen sink in them, and are so thick stuffed so full, and they wonder why they fall apart . The ' minimalist ' wallets seem quite popular , fit neatly into pockets.. Good choice 👌 HS
  18. Wizcraft is correct, my needles are the 134-35 as well. My machine model is 545-H3-6/01 CLPMN. Mine is for leather so that might explain why I have two leaf springs on mine as opposed to your single spring. Other than that, I think we have very similar machines.
  19. No I don't have a needle positioner installed. The first thing I was wanting to do was check I can actually access the settings for the needle positioner, hence me starting this thread. However, yesterday I order a needle positioner because even if my servo supplier cannot give me the instructions I can still design my own interface for needle positioning (using the off-the-shelf needle positioner) and it will have better functionality than what my servo drive has. Example my foot pedal controller does not have any switch for when you press back on the heel of the foot pedal, and I check the wires from the foot pedal controller and there's only 3 which will be +5v, 0v, and the variable signal from a potentiometer. No wire for a signal from a pedal heel switch. So looks like my servo is very basic and doesn't have this functionality built in.

Beautiful work! It took me 2 attempts to succeed making a pair of infant moccasins for my great grandson for Christmas. Simple ain't always easy!
