I know there are laws against it, but I have seen alot of stuff out there that I know is copy righted....and /or a trademark. I'm sure I could spend days reading stuff on the internet and get totally confused, I was more interrested in what was "acccepted" with the "leather Pros".

Hi everybody, After having shown my arm guard in the show off section I have been requested the pattern by some of you. I did much more than a simple pattern scan, and from this link: you can download a complete *pdf document with everything needed but the cup of coffee. Enjoy! And thanks in anticipation for feedback and for the photos of the arm guards you will make. Fred EDIT: Dead Link Removed, file uploaded here:

I have purchased tools here over the years, Cowboy Bob was the first one I found. Then I found the Leather Tool Maker, then Rocky Aussie and his thin needle plate. There is also Patrick1 that I’m still trying to get off the pot so I can purchase from him. I have been on here for about 12 years and it took a long time to find guys that make Shhtuff! Now here is where y’all come in! I’m looking to make a list outside of supplies. I’m looking for guys like Rocky Aussie or the Leather Tool Maker that have the skill, know how, and the machines to make those thin needle plates or the burnishers that we all could use. If you know a tool maker or builder list em here, I d…

Has anyone thought about using formica construction glue for leather projects? https://www.amazon.com/00271-Weldwood-Original-Contact-Cement/dp/B0006MXRY8/ref=pd_sim_d_sccl_3_1/147-4836112-0706438?pd_rd_w=2UpNv&content-id=amzn1.sym.3a852a98-d65f-4301-9bd0-9b589b14d1ef&pf_rd_p=3a852a98-d65f-4301-9bd0-9b589b14d1ef&pf_rd_r=WJZQ74S5S0KPDW4F7P4X&pd_rd_wg=EB4bj&pd_rd_r=362984e1-6bb4-4088-b07b-c23adb755617&pd_rd_i=B0006MXRY8&th=1 It sure is a lot less expensive than what Ive been buying now that infation is effecting my leather glue prices.

I'm still new to leatherworking. I have made about a dozen holsters, a few knife scabbards, and quite a few belts. I currently have a flatbed sewing machine, a Seiko CW8 Cylinder Arm Machine, and Weaver Cub, and hoping to acquire a Class 4 machine when practical. My question is regarding the Landis 5 in 1. Are these machines particularly useful in the realm of holster and scabbard building? A friend of mine is a retired boot repair shop owner and once told me how much he used the presser wheel which was good when gluing layered edges and I can see that in the boot resoling application but would that part of the 5 in 1 have any benefit with holsters and scabbards? I can…

Finally purchased one of Barry Kings Line24 snap setters. How did I not know about this 10 years ago! I have destroyed so many snaps in the last 10 years... I won't say it's impossible to destroy the snap using the Barry King tool, but it's gonna be a lot more difficult. Pretty cool being able to set a snap with a single thwack with. my mallet. Definitely worth the $30 if you set a lot of snaps. https://www.barrykingtools.com/product-page/snap-setter

I just got an order for a double shot snake. I've made one before, for the same costumer but it's been a few years. Definitely not a very common item, even at all the black powder supply companies online. There's no need to make any changes to my pattern, but he suggested using something on the transfer from the shot bag to the spouts to help keep their shape. I was thinking something like a funnel but not a thick piece of plastic. Was looking for something thinner but crush resistant. I have no clue what to call these tapered tubes other than that, tapered tube. That's not working for me on Google and was curious if anyone has any recommendations where to start? I could …

We all have our pet peeves. I wonder if there are some that are more 'popular' as pet peeves than others. These are mine - first and foremost - finishing the edges! I don't mind veg tanned leather - that is actually simple compared to finishing the edges of chrome tanned leather. That, no matter how smooth, looks tacky. So it ends up being a beautiful product with tacky edges, at least to my eyes. And I do match colors etc. as much as I can too. Another one? Bought patterns in which the stitching holes are always too big for the recommended thread - so I match the color well and it looks like an item with lines of holes everywhere!!! Used to be cutting…

Has anyone tried a set of these for leather working? I was at the dentist office and my daughters dentist was using a set they seems like they might be a bit easier than regular magnifying glasses as they have an 18" distance for the work. I was hoping for some opinions before throwing down some cash. They came in quite a range of prices with some being really cheap others really expensive. https://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Industrial-Scientific-Dental-Surgical-Loupes/zgbs/industrial/9060268011

I need help finding the Bobwhite Quail Wood Badge leather stamp. Any help locating one for sale or trade would be deeply appreciated. Willing to purchase outright or I have a significant number of 3D stamps and would consider a trade including some hard to find stamps from both the Boy & Girl Scouts as well as numerous other 3D stamps. Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance!
