We have an adult area on this site with biker flash (nudes and fantasy art), bondage gear (BDSM) topics and the some of the most tasteless, but funny, jokes on the internet. I can add other categories as you think of them. Okay, well, this area is growing, and anyone who wants access please send me a PM (private message) so that I can add you. The point of the adult area is for legitimate leatherwork conversation and sharing, even on the more risqué techniques and trade tricks of our leather art, without losing the main board's family friendly status. If you're a grown up, you're allowed in. If you change your mind and want the adult content part of the site invisi…

A short while ago I've posted a thread about binder hold-down screws bottoming out on my Mitsubishi flat bed machine. A short conversation ensued, in which I and a few other members speculated that the thread pattern must be either 1/8-40 or similar. That similar is what I am trying to find because 1/8-40 proved to be wrong, and I have to buy a different tap/die. But for the life of me I cannot find the thread using either my profile page or Google. Does anybody know of a better way to find threads that I had started?

Leather News Flash When great companies work together, great things happen!!! And they happen for their customers as well. Those things are known as win-win situations, and the main beneficiary of these win-win situations is always the customer. The benefit to the companies comes later as it flows from happy customers to innovative companies. It’s well known that “Customer First” has been the long standing policy of great companies like SLC and Hermann Oak Leather. Having said that, leather crafters across the board have long desired a HERMANN OAK DOUBLE SHOULDER. And SLC and Hermann Oak feel that this would be a tremendous ad…

As I've been using American abbreviations, slang, and such, it occurs to me that a LOT of the users on the forum don't know what I'm talking about. So, I'm starting a list of common...in America, abbreviations, slang, short cuts, et cetera, that maybe our "overseas from us" members are scratching their heads over. First, "BTW". It stands for "by the way", or "for instance", or "case in point". Or maybe, "what I mean to say is..." I frankly don't know how other countries say it.

Johanna good morning! Its been a good long while since I have come home and was wondering if it would be possible to change my user name I have grown up a little and Stealfdawg isn't representing my work any longer. I have evolved my makers mark since taking up engraving as I use the same name when making custom knives the user name I would like is Sanch (short for Sanchez). My skills have improved so much because of this wonderful place but I find myself wondering why we as members do not challenge each other to increase our skills even more? maybe a contest such as a CIT case in the hat. Broken down by skill level etc etc, or a tooling competition once again broken do…
