Hi I posted this and thought I make a thread for it here also, if anyone need it. Made a template for people who want to try to glue on card paper and use as templates. Standard size 115/75. 18-16, 20-18, 22-20 When you print it and measure to the fold line you will see that it's 1mm too short, the template is made for 1mm leather, and when folded it compensates for the fold. (So not a error in the drawing) I choose to not use a curve for the taper, because it's such a small taper it will both look curved and be curved when sanded. And it makes it easy to cut out templates after glued to card paper, because you can use a ruler for everything exce…

I’m wanting to make myself a new pair of chaps. I’ve been trying (with no luck) to find a slim batwing that fits almost like a shotgun. I found these that Shooting Star Saddlery makes as an example.Does anybody have a pattern or know where I can find one? thanks in advance!

I'm hoping someone has had this problem and been able to fix it... I purchased two packages of patterns from BHD, and although the patterns look great, I'm having trouble printing them. The tutorial online clearly says that to ensure the pattern is the proper size, open the pattern in MS paint, set the print scale to 100%, and print. I'm using a MacBook, and I figured it shouldn't be too much different. I open the image, print it at 100% scale, and it comes out way too big! I know this because one of the belt pieces included in a pattern was stated as being 2" wide... and when I printed it at 100%, it was almost 3" wide. Other patterns seem too big printed at 80%... I d…

So I've made a pattern for an armored dice bag that requires no sewing, and where I've, mostly, hidden the seams. Quite pleased with it! I made the bag out of supple leather about 1-2 mm thick, and the armor plates out of 3mm thick leather that I dyed three different colors and distressed to make them look battle worn. The bag is about 13cm (about 5 in) wide, and 17 cm (about 6,7 in) tall. The bag fits about 60 sets of six dice, so 360 dice total! One cool aspect of the bag is that it always looks full since the plates hold the bag upright so you don't need to fill it, or have any dice in it at all, but the bag still looks the same. Awesome decoration potential. …

Hi Everyone I have been asked to make a holster for a Ruger 2245 MK2 pistol and was wondering if anyone has made one before and has a pattern that I could use. Here in New Zealand not many people own pistols ,but occasionally I get asked to make something for pistol club members. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Don Albannach Crafts
