  11. I use two layers of Kydex. Take the top layer and wire brush the back. Put both layers on the product ,wire brush piece on top, heat and form. Let cool. Take the top layer and add cement to it and your liner.first piece is for the thickness of the liner. I use Deer Skin or pig skin. Works for me. Take the other kydex sheat and reheat it till it turns flat so you can reused it. Remember, the longer you let the cement cure the stronger it will be. Makes a nice quiet holster. Hope this helps. Stop let it cool and tap it on your stone or something. hard. then take a tooth pick and gently twist it in and slowly twist it out. Tap again. Repeat the tooth pick on the other end. I have also tried alittle olive oil on the end of the lace. Helps from braking off. Hope it works for you. Dennis

  17. Hi wildrose, this is what I have done since the day the earth cooled. [i'm in my Golden years] I use a utility knife and a head knife in my shop. The new blade in the utility knife I strop with red rouge and leather to get it razer sharp. Doesn't take much. I use the same blade for days to weeks. All I do when I feel a drag on a cut is re-strop it. I mite use 20 blades a year. Same for my head knives. Unless you aquire a used blade and need to stone it, stroping is the no. one tool in my shop. Hope this helps. Dennis
  18. Hi, I have used Denatured Alcohol for over 30 years as a reducer, thinner for all dies we use. You just need to experiment with a little at a time to get the color that you want. Also works great for me as a Deglazer. Haven't had any problems at all. I just had some die bloching on a project and use Den. Alcohol and olive oil to uniform the color. Bloching came from the hide not getting tanned in that area properly. Hope this helps. Dennis from Durango
